Hello fellow Tigers! It's been a while. I used to have Tygerboy17 as a username, but that was a few years back (circa 2014 last post). I've been too busy to post the past few years, but I've been lurking.

With another Miles-esque finish to the year, a questionable at best OC promotion, and a slew of early Jr. declarations again, I'm wondering when we'll make it back to being a top 5-7 program. I crafted up a pre-Spring depth chart with current/expected recruits for discussion.

It's definitely not perfect. Input encouraged.

*= first year starter (9)
italicized = true frosh/JUCO
^ = not eligible for 2019 draft

"OFFENSE"

QB: Brennan*^, Narcisse^, McMillan

FB: Carter^, Ducre

RB: Brossette*, CEH^, Curry^ , Fournette , Provens^

WR: Anderson*, Marshall^, Jefferson^, Jones^

WR: Dillon, Davis, McMath^, J. Jenkins^

WR: Giles, S. Sullivan, Netherly^, Chase?^

TE: Moreau, Pettigrew, Washington, Moss, Sheffer^

LT: Traore JUCO , Savage , Wire^

LG: Brumfield (if he stays), D. Lewis JUCO

C: Cushenberry*, C. Smith^

RG: Ingram^ , Magee, Campbell

RT: Charles^, Deculus^, Rosenthal^

DEFENSE

DE: Lawrence, Logan , Thomas^ , Cotton^

NT: Alexander*, Shelvin^ , Hines^ , Livingston^

DE: Fehoko, Farrell^, N. Jenkins^

OLB: Chaisson*^ , Moore JUCO, Anthony , Cherry^

ILB: Taylor^, Phillips^, Baskerville^

MACK: White, Queen^ , D. Clark^

OLB: Divinity, Thornton, Scott^

CB: Williams, Kirklin^

CB: Fulton*, Surtain?^

Nickel: Vincent*^, Goodrich?^

FS: Battle, Monroe, Stevens^, C. Lewis

SS: Delpit^, Paris, Harris^, Joseph^

ST

K: Tracy JUCO, Culp, Gonsoulin
P: Von Rosenberg, Growden
LS: Ferguson

ETA: Baskerville to ILB from OLB. My mistake.
ETA: Moore, Cherry, Anthony to PR-OLB. Thornton to F behind Divinity. Traore to LT, Charles/Deculus/Rosenthal to RT

Ya know, there’s a good chance we’ll be more pass out of necessity.

Very good work!!

But Baskerville at OLB instead of ILB? What’s that?

We've had a lot of talent come through at WR over the years, but this is lagniappe. Hopefully J. Sullivan can coach them up better than Joseph did.

Anyone know how Kirklin is progressing? He may play a lot of snaps. We really need both Surtain and Goodrich.

Defense looks solid. Nasty dline, white holding down the middle, and greedy locking down receivers. Hope the other linebackers and secondary members step up as well!

Offense makes me very nervous tho. First year starters at both quarterback and running back. Out of 3 junior who we thought were staying on the o line, we might only get one. This o line suddenly looks a lot more weak... receiving core is deep though! Hope for some standout receivers this year like Chark!

D is loaded with corner opposite Greedy the only question mark.

O has a few more gaps of inexperience but the potential is there.

ST should be better with the grad transfer PK.

Agree with most of it. I don't know if Stevens is #3 on the depth chart. Would be disappointing if true.

Moore, Cherry and Anthony are OLBs ala Key

Stevens is the toughest one to place

Hopefully they solidify him somewhere. Battle starts on experience, and I liked what Monroe did with the playing time he got this year.

The fact that Fulton hasn’t transferred makes me wonder if he just knows he’s going to ball out.

Regardless I think it says something about his character to face up to his mistakes and keep going.

So does P Queen get into the mix in the LB corps or a true look at RB?

I'd hope they give him a look. He has great rushing numbers from HS.

Couple changes on the O line, Charles to RT, i think LT will be manned bt Traeore, Savage, and Wire (he's prototype LT) I Also think Rosenthal will be at end or a OT spot,we won't needed that many NGs, also think Deculus will be at a OG spot or RT, don't think he has the feet of a LT.....On Defense I hope Battle becomes a rotational safety or is moved into the Corey Thompson type player, he's very physical but down field he's a liability, and we are loaded at safety

Good work! Defense is nasty! Good things to come. Don’t let all the negativity fool you. Dave is building his defense at LSU and it looks really nasty!
