Isn't 185 >>> 98 ???
Anth. Jennings (Team Purple Drank), 8-21, 98 yds
Stephen Rivers (Team Milk Drank), 7-10, 185 yds LINK
Just kidding. I don't know what these two cats even look like to be honest.

I didn't get to see any l, but you guys are handing the back up job to a kid that finished 9-21 in the spring game? Less than 50% and less than 100 yards.
You guys crucify Jordan Jefferson for numbers like this a couple years ago and he did it in SEC games! Matter of fact, didn't he do it in the spring game also?
I'm sure he'll look fantastic against SEC teams. Especially on the road.
You guys are so impatient. Let the kid grow up. He may have packages, but if Rivers has a leg up on the offense, then so be it.

Michael Jordan is the correct and only answer.

Actually, can I still pick T.C. McCartney?

I did not want to be the one to bring this up but I agree. I thought he looked good yesterday but at the end of the day it was a JJ type performance, no points and low offensive output. I will say this however, he looked as good or better than JJ as a "Prom" Freshman than JJ did when he graduated or expended his eligibility...

Jennings looks good so far & I think he will be great before leaving Lsu but u guy's are writing off Rivers too quick. He throws the ball in an awkward deleviry, but the kid was really good in Hi school.

Are we the only fan base that comes here and belittles our freshman before they actually play a game?
Very meaningful thread bro...

Can I choose the QB who signs for the 2014 class? I don't know who it will be but whoever it is should get the starting job.
Until they start...or throw an incomplete pass

Rivers completed 70% of his passes for an average of almost 20 ypc.. Jennings completed 38% of his passes for an average of about 12 ypc. Doesn't look like much of a competition.
Everyone needs to relax and enjoy what we have. We have a clear No. 1 in Mett. Rivers this year under Cam's tutelage will probably be as good as Mett was last year and could win a few games for us if Mett is dinged up.
Jennings and Rettig are true freshman who are getting invaluable experience in Spring ball. However, after watching JL get destroyed when he had to start as a freshman, I hope that neither is forced into action this year. Let them develop, learn the system and get adjusted to the speed of the college game.

Hey before you retards throw out Spring Game Stats out put it in perpective
Jennings played with the #2 offense going against the #1 Defense
Rivers played the #2-3 defense with the #1 offense for the most part
JJ type performance? Give me a fricking break
With that said I was impressed with all 3 QBs atop of the depth chart from all ive heard/seen, and think were in good shape with another 4 months to prepare and develop our QBs before the season and another year and 4 months before Jennings or Rivers will have to see the field in a starting compasity

I can't wait to hear from TigerLee.
I'd bet he has already registered the Tigrrivers name and taken the white sheets out of storage.

Jennings had a better spring game despite his stats or rivers.
He definitely passes the eyeball test and I think there will be packages for him this fall.

You didn't see the game so it's probably not wise to go off on a little tirade. The stats may not look great, but the he made some very impressive throws. Including a ball right before the half that was incomplete, but one really good looking pass for a kid fresh out of HS.

And the fact that he has some good mobility adds an additional threat.
Mett and Rivers are statues for the most part.

The purple team was at a significant disadvantage talent wise.

Rivers moved pretty well yesterday
Posted on 4/21/13 at 9:49 am to TheDoc
So a guy that put up JJ numbers is being given a pass because he went up against our 1s
Uh, guess what folks; he will only be going up against theother teams 1s each Saturday
Give he kid a break and allow him to enjoy his red shirt year
