As far as Rivers, what was your overall thoughts?

I feel like he's getting no shot from fans and even pay sites.

Guy was 70% yesterday....

Will we also be playing with our 2-3s on offense?

Jennings had a better spring game despite his stats or rivers.

He definitely passes the eyeball test and I think there will be packages for him this fall.

Lots of players can pass the "eyeball" test. JL passed the eyeball test his freshman year until he started throwing pick sixes.

The only thing that matters is if he can pass the game test. Complete passes, run the offense and put points on the board. There may be reasons why he didn't do that yesterday, but it didn't happen.

Not trying to be negative about him. By all reports he looks good so far. But he is a freshman. Let's give him a chance to develop and mature. JL and JJ could both make spectacular throws at times. Both were played before they were ready and neither developed into a consistent, reliable QB...

Jennings. The dude should still be in high school and was playing against our 1's with a below average o-line and no run game. The stats mean nothing without context! A lot of Rivers completions were against walk ons and the wrs made big plays after the catch. Rivers looks good, but if I'm picking one and sticking then its Jennings all the way. He's only been in practice for a month or two and it seems he's already got the number 2 spot. Watch his film the dude is a gamer. He will not redshirt.

Also theunknownknight jinxed Kobe with the injury and Lebron > Kobe anyway.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jennings is the 2nd string QB in the fall.

He wont be, Not saying he wont play, but Rivers is ur starter if Mett cant play.

If you are a member of TSD read Ben Loves interview with Cameron and it will clear everything up on Rivers. They can run the same offense with Rivers as they will be with Mett.

Whats funny about this is if Jennings did score yesterday the talk would be "OMG our defense sucks!! The 2-3 offense whooped them! Were fricked!

It would have been embarrasing if the white team had given up a TD.

What are you trying to say? Jennings is JJ?

One thing is for sure. Every year a number of LSU fans look for a new running/slash/scrambling threat behind center.
I dont know why people cant be satisfied with a pocket passer with 70% accuracy.

He should be getting ready to go to his Sr prom, but Cam/Miles had him starting over a back up QB who is going into his third year in the LSU program.

That's a major statement for the kid and speaks a hell of lot louder than stats from any talent uneven spring game.

I feel bad for Jennings, no matter how good he plays or throws the football, half of our ignorant fanbase will hate him and compare him to Jefferson because hes an "athletic" QB. Ridiculous. Im done with this thread.

Rivers looked pretty good, but his stats also came in the "0 fricks given time"

JJ to Jennings comparisons are fricking ignorant. Jennings can already make throws JJ couldn't dream of
