LSU 35,Alabama 21. LSU had 611 total yards. Should have beaten them worse, but it did spoil their Homecoming.

Don't exaggerate, it was only 173,241 catches.

I was there. Was the greatest performance I witnessed until Burrow vs OU in the Peach Bowl. Rohan and Reed were unstoppable.

I was there and I’ll never forget the look of despair in the Bama fans’ eyes, and not just because of that game.

I was there- wife and I totally decked out in purple and gold we had tickets from Alabama team doctor smack in the middle of Alabama professors etc. Every time we scored or made big play we drunkenly jumped up and roared. After the game doctor would not even look at me.. We had standing bet for dinner. Even worse he had graduated from LSU.

I was there and stayed in Hoover of all places. Prior to the game, coming off of the hotel elevator, ran into 'bama fans and got almost threatened with violence by one when they noticed my LSU hat. After the game it neve felt so good as to walk into the hotel with the V in hand. Oh yeah, Davey was the man that game. I will never go back to tusk w/o a flamethrower in hand.

We were 4-3, coming off an ugly looking loss to Ole Miss, and LSU fans were not happy with underachieving coach Nick Saban.

Then they ran off a 6 game wining streak.

Toefield had about 30 TDs on the year from punching it in after Josh Reed got caught from behind

I was there sitting right in front of the LSUBFTL and the first row was the Golden Girls. Good times.

Nick Saban getting booed loudly during that Ole Miss game changed the course of LSU football. He deserved the boos because he forcing the offense to be ultra-conservative and it cost LSU the game. Next game he allowed Jimbo to open up the offense and LSU was great the rest of the season.

I was there. Hooked up with this bama chick the night before (didn't have a place to stay)and woke up at her place . Friend of mine hade Tide Pride tkts before the game to eat up in the suite we walk in with yellow polo long sleeves and everybody was staring holes in us. . Rohan's single game passing record still holds on (even Burrow couldn't beat it).

I was there and was doing my typical trash talking in a Bama section prior to kick off. I warned people that Reed was going to be unstoppable (Bama had a shitty secondary that year). I never thought it would be 19 catches for 293 yards though.

That game seems like 40 years ago.

Absolutely. I vividly remember LSU getting booed while they were running into the tunnel at halftime and people were pissed at Saban/Jimbo's conservative approach (I also seem to recall bailing at halftime as well because my date was getting frisky and what she was suggesting we go do seemed MUCH better than watching boring offense in the 2nd half) That loss was the catalyst for LSU then making a run to the SEC Championship.

There are many reasons Saban has had so much success in his career. But one of the most underrated is is willingness to adapt with the changes in the way the game is played. 2015 Alabama began to evolve from what the 2011 Alabama team looked like. 2016 LSU tried to run the exact same offense as 2011 LSU.

Reed was triple covered at times and still kept catching them.

I was there, hungover as balls. Stayed at a sorority brick house behind Gallette's. My boy Reed was unstoppable. Corey Webster catch a TD that day too?
