ETA: and as someone who watched them cycle through pitchers at breakneck speeds all season, I don’t consider any of them a huge loss. Even the one they wanted to keep.

Meh feels like you’re disgruntled because you supplied incorrect information.
20 innings is much less than the actual 113 they will be losing.
I agree in today’s world of college athletics it’s probably minimal.

I can guarantee at least half were processed because they think they can replace them with better arms in the portal. they see them pitch at practice for a couple years and then they end up deciding that they won't develop into anything better than what's in the portal already developed, for the most part.
im sure they will also take a shot on some guys with higher upside than what the guys they are trying to develop have,even if some aren't developed yet that are in the portal.
i would rather take guys that are already developed instead of high upside guys but if youre replacing a high number ,it will have to be a little of both

OO understand you are talking about the process and not the individuals, and everyone must admit that tony v is an amazing recruiter. But reading this thread, the people passing this off are crazy. 20 of 24 is a huge deal. Even for a great recruiter.
The question is now can those guys be replaced with championship level kids. That is the goal at Tenner. That is one hell of a number when that is your goal.
This whole thread should make people listen to Jay’s words more. “He is a better person…”. Recruiting the right guy is more important these days. If the most talented guy is an arse clown, then let him move on.

In that Vols thread I saw weekend relief next to at least 7 of those pitchers entering the portal and they’re pretending there’s only 1 guy they’re losing of value?
