1. Is he still a formidable Defensive Coordinator?

2. Does the Kentucky debacle happen if he were our DC?

Yall cry like complete babies every single time Baker plays zone defense. Yet think Aranda, who plays more zone defense, would be the better option.

The defense had bad times under Aranda too. I can’t even comprehend how hard it is to dominate for a full season when other geniuses are studying how to beat you. Everyone talks about how good LSU Defense is right now. I’m enjoying that.

Half this board doesnt think he ever was. Mid 2019 they all wanted him fired.

Have not followed Baylor at all but Dave's thing here was press man-to-man D. I think he was quoted as saying something like "we start playing press coverage from the moment we get off the bus."

$12,000,000 to not coach. Aranda is going to be okay.

The only positive with hiring Aranda is he might stay for awhile.

The potential negatives outweigh that one positive. Plus his defenses at Baylor recently have been absolute trash.

His defense gave up some ridiculously huge numbers in 2019.

I’m not asking to be provocative, but what season(s) did Aranda’s defenses put up great numbers? Were they ever a top 10 defense?

The 2019 LSU defense ranked 11th against the run, and 32nd against the pass.

The positive about this is that we were scoring so fast that opponents were chasing us and needed to throw a lot.

The negative is that opponents' approach to offense is different now, especially in the SEC, and is more like the Big 12 was back then. More QB options and a lot more passing.

The last time we hired a Head Coach as the new DC didn’t turn out to well.

Signed,
