I was there, so I didn't get to see the replay on TV or here the commentators ...

1. Did Russell Shepard really catch the ball in the end zone? It was ruled an incomplete pass, but from my view point in the South Endzone, we all thought he caught it.

2. Last question, Washington backed up to their own 2 yard line, completed a gain for 18 + ... next play or two, looked like a side line out that the receiver ran and ruled a catch, but again, we all thought the play should have been reviewed, because it appeared to us he was out of bounds.

It was a bang-bang play...probably a catch but not enough conclusive evidence to overturn.

1. IMO not a catch
2. Never showed a replay of a Wash catch that was even close and called good

I thought the spot was the thing questionable there

I thought it was going to be a bout 3rd and 2-3 and then they line it up at 3rd and 1

Marker on the sideline could have been off though

Was the official marker on the other side of the field?

RS didn't drop the ball it was punched out of his hands after he had caught it and was laying on the ground. Should have been a TD IMO.

Disagree. Rule says you have to complete the catch on the ground, he didnt do that. Incomplete was the right call. Shep shouldve hauled it in.

I don't think that Les wanted to review the play for Shep because he needs him to hold on and leave no doubt.

In any case we have no reason to complain. I thought that the incomplete by Mett was a clear lateral and we lucked out because one of the refs blew his whistle after the guy started running with it. Clearly the closest refs were letting the play run. Some other calls and spots were pretty favorable as well, tho I can't recall them right now because the game was awesome.

It was a TD. Clean catch then his butt hit ground. It wasn't til he kind rolled over after already being on the ground that the ball came out.

It was not a td as he dropped the ball was when he hit the ground. Sheppard is really struggling still!

I, and every other Tiger fan with a brain, would have gone ballistic if that was called a TD for one of our opponents.

It was not a catch.

Not a td IMO. To me he caught the ball but never actually finished the catch, if that makes sense.

He was already sitting on the ground with the ball before it came out. How long after being down does he have to hold onto it. For example If he had bounced out of bounds when after his butt hit the ground instead of losing the ball, it would've been a catch.

Did you guys actually watch the play. RS had complete control of the football and was downed in the endzone. The ball was then punched out of his hands and not by ground contact but he was already downed. The did have complete control for the allotted amount if time. Bad call but who cares I guess. For some reason tiger stadium doesn't like to show replays at any games of major plays on the minitron

You have to control the ball through the ground. It was bang-bang with the guy knocking it out. I wouldn't have minded a challenge there, but it wouldn't have probably been overturned.
