According to the sec channel.

Higher than I would have thought, considering they are basically replacing the coaching staff and coming off a .500 year.

I think we beat aTM, auburn, and ole miss.

Gonna continue to pump A&M as the next contender to Bama. I’m a fan. Just play our game and win.

Bout right. Causes there's a 98% chance we don't beat bama

That's pretty pathetic. LSU rated more than a 2% chance to win the West back in 1992, when the Tigers finished 2-9 in Hallman's second year.

Last year for LSU should have zero consequences on the 2021 season. We lost 19 players after 2019 season, both coordinators and Covid19 causing several players to opt out Jr year. Why in the hell would that set of horrible consequences have anything to do with LSU 2021. Orgeron has recruited well and we have 2 capable QB and 2 Defensive players all being talked about. I am completely offended that we get a 2% chance by Media for SEC Championship game. 2020 football season was an anomaly

Aggie doesn’t have a QB with any meaningful experience; we have 2.
Also the talent gap with Bama created by their guys returning to win a championship while ours left after doing so has corrected itself.

And Bama with Saban didn’t exist.

Bama is almost always considered unbeatable. This is not surprising.

And you would have said this if LSU went back to back and won the championship last year?

2% is too low. It’s probably closer to 10%.

The reason I’m also confident 2020 was an anomaly is that it was the result of multiple negative factors that created a perfect shitstorm:
1. Greatest player in history graduates
2. Almost every eligible player declares
3. Lose DC and co-OC
At that point I still think we could’ve had a pretty good year; I’d put the o/u at 9.5 wins.
But then covid hits and creates turmoil:
4. Hardly any spring/summer football activities
5. Star players opt out
And it’s these, especially 4, that exacerbate the first three past the breaking point. Then just because “screw us” our QB goes down in week 3.
The upheaval from the pandemic naturally favored teams with returning experience/leadership and continuity of scheme like Bama, Auburn, aTm, and UF (although by that point in the season our team was starting to catch up, hence the W)
Bottom line is this stuff isn’t happening again. Most of our guys are back, the new coordinators have had spring and summer, most of our opponents lost key guys… the forecast just doesn’t call for a shitstorm this year.

Tell the SEC channel that if they wanna lay me 48 to 1 (which is what 2% is) I’ll put a hundy to win 4900.

Replaced the de facto OC, the DC, no spring ball, no tune up games, new starting QB and only one with some experiences gets hurt so we rely on 2 true freshmen, lost 2 of top 3 WRs, lost starting RB.

2% chance is ignorant for anyone to say or publish.
I will take 50-1 against as many that will take the bet almost any year.
I think LSU finishes 3rd, but 50-1? Is everything in 2021 the twilight zone, this is LSU.

No, according to the ESPN FPI, which is the most biased and bogus pure utter nonsense in college football and everybody knows it.
I don't understand for the life of me why ESPN continues to push their ridiculous FPI because every time they do so, it just further degrades their credibility, which already is virtually nil.
Look I just use ESPN to watch the games, but I never stick around to listen to any of their analysis because it just doesn't hold any credibility and is a complete and utter waste of time.
