6 SEC teams in. LSU against 6 seed Providence. LSU is also one of the 'Last 4 byes', so we're still squarely on the bubble. Two wins this week would get us some breathing room.

Can't afford anymore bad losses. Was noted that the SEC has never gotten in more than 5 teams into the tourney, and LSU is currently 6th....

Need to beat aTm this week, no reason to lose to them the first time around. We have more talent, plain and simple.

Gonna have to go 5-1 (with that loss coming to Arky) or 6-0 or win SECT to get in

5-1 is my number, some seem to think 4-2 will do it, I don't think it will. We cant afford to lose 2 more games due to the RPI being so terrible.

4-2 may do it if we make the SECT finals and avenge a loss or 2 on the way.

We win the SECT and we're getting in no matter what. But yeah, 5-1 the rest of the regular season should be enough, as long as the loss isn't to Auburn. 4-2 and we'll need to do some damage in the SECT.

If it's 5-1, it doesn't matter when the loss is IMO

I wouldn't mind the bracket as Lunardi sees it. A second round matchup with UNC would be fine by me. I don't want a 8/9 seed and have to play a 1 in the second round.

If that is the scenario then LSU should be in pretty good shape. That would likely be good enough to finish 3rd in the SEC with head-to-head wins over every other SEC "bubble" team (UGA, A&M, Miss-twice) Plus, that would mean LSU would have a 6-3 conf road record, which helps.

I think people overrate the value of the conf. tournament. If you listen to the committee on selection Sunday, the (major) conference tournament results generally don't play a huge part in who does or does not get in as an at-large. Certainly upsets in the mid-major conf. tournaments do.

I think 4-2 can and will get us in as long as we beat Auburn

If we go 5-1 we will be 3-seed in sect and probably an 8-seed in the tourney which would suck. At this point I want to be an 11 or 10 seed. 4-2 would probably put us around there

I doubt it. 11-7 conference record doesn't get it done. 12-6 does, with the lone remaining loss to Arkansas. That's it.

I disagree with this statement.

Please put us in the South. I'd love to see a bunch of LSU fans in the building for the Sweet 16 in Houston.

Plus it would be a test run for our final four games in Houston next season.
