Hardest part for newcomers is parking and contraflow. Do your homework. To simplify, consider going to PastTime and take the shuttle to and from

I’ve had friends come in for numerous games over the years. The things they always comment on:

-the march down victory hill and the band playing outside the stadium. People 6-10 rows deep lining the entire route. I had some VT fans go ape for that.
-the 4 notes, don’t miss them
-wear light clothes for G-d’s sake
-if they visit the capital, they love it. The view, the history, the grounds, big Huey. Not much else like it
-if they see the old capital, they never forget that either
-Louie’s burger (that still there?)
-Walking around ALL the tailgating! It’s like entering another world

Always funny what people remember

Wear your Ok State and Oklahoma jerseys. Thus, you will be invited to any and all tailgates and eat great food and drink bourbon or beer fro free. Make sure to express how bad you want LSU to beat Clemson. Also bring a some good looking chicks with you and you have a free pass to everything. And for fun, Tiger Bait some Clemson fans that walk by the tailgait you are at and do it with fervor. If you can throw some Cajun French in for fun you will be a hero.

Not sure age of son but here are a few recs:
Friday:
New Orleans for the WW2 museum, food, etc. can make it a day trip easily

Chimes as mentioned is a timeless classic. Not my favorite to be honest but it’s a staple

Get out there early Saturday and circumnavigate Tiger Stadium as the sun rises. It’s majestic

If you do venture to NOLA Friday, the World War II Museum is top notch.

We are coming from Oklahoma. My son and I are Ostate fans. Unfortunately our friend is OU, but we overlook that deficiency ??

I live in OKC and still have my LSU season tickets. I make that drive many times a year. Worth the journey. You'll have a great time!

PS- I have brought many Sooner with me throughout the years and they are always blown away at the atmosphere and hospitality.

Oklahoma fans welcome. Hopefully your familiar with the heat and humidity in South Louisiana this time of year. Brutal on fans. Glad the game with be mostly after sundown. All the comments are good, be careful not to drink too much (ha, ha). Stay hydrated and have fun. You'll likely get "Tiger baited" but once you laugh it off you'll be welcomed and yes, they will have some very special food and adult beverages they are happy to share.
Good luck and GEAUX TIGERS!

It's not the old Death Valley anymore.

I've noticed in recent years at the early games, fans just get exhausted with the hot weather. They leave early unless it's a great game. In October, when the weather is wonderful, not many other sports venues can top Tiger stadium.
If you ever come back, treat yourself to a fall football game

Seconding this - the video board seems to have gotten a major decibel boost over the offseason. Was at practice held in stadium today.

Never been, but good advice. They say the WWII museum is great. You can spend most of a day there.
