Archer trying to get closer for that field goal only to have a pick was the worse coaching decision of his career. Cost him a shot at a title. The Bama Loss was bad too.

Was at this game in the south end zone two rows up. It was hot as hell that day! That's the game that Andolsek and Spielman got into it at the coin toss!

Both get drafted by Detroit in 88' and become best friends!

Was in the NEZ and damn it was brutal.

Side note, I am 99% sure this is the game on the TV in one of the early scenes in Cocktail.

Was at the game, 1st and goal should have never thrown a ball, I believe Ed Zaunbrecher was the OC, as far as the Bama game Hodson was hurt and even though we were behind they should have never put him in late in the game, destroyed usce in bowl game and I really believe when we were healthy we had the best team in the country that year.

Grounds crew mistakenly watered the field that morning thinking it was a night game. Cost us 2 tds due to slip and falls. Harvey and Sammy both had openings. We would have beaten anyone including Miami at the end of the season.

God the stadium was loud that day. All that pregame assholery put the stadium over the top.

I was there, too. One of the loudest games ever. I remember Tom Tupa (Ohio State QB, later NFL punter) approaching the line of scrimmage to take the snap, and the place was so loud he couldn't make his calls to get the snap off. He looked at the refs as if to say, Help. They looked back at him as if to say, You're on your own, Pal. And the stadium scoreboard, in understated fashion, simply read: "We aren't loud yet."

This was a good game between two very good teams.
I enjoyed watching it on TV, but I liked the game the following year better, where I was actually in the stands at Ohio Stadium. That 1988 game was probably one of the better wins in John Cooper's coaching career, and one of his few wins against a Top Ten team, since he made a habit of losing to them in bowl games and against that team up north.

Akin to the 2007 campaign.
