wesbter definitely does not need a weekly segment, especially because they ask him a lot of the same questions every week.

"hey c webb what was it like getting ready to play in a super bowl?" I don't know jordy, why don't you pull the audio from when you asked him that last year?

I get tired of hearing Kevin Mawae. The conversation goes stale fairly quickly.

agreed....they're still my favorite local show.

Scona is the king of weekly terrible segments between bringing Condon on to yell while Scone giggles like a 5 year old girl and then Feinswog to tell us about how he only half assedly pays attention to half the things he's brought on to talk about.

Came in running off about how many Heisman's he was going to win.....all of the drama associated with A&M....just didn't live up to the hype.

I was a kid, but I have heard the story that he was set to sign with A&M, then his classmates were singing the A&M fight song and doing Aggie cheers and he hated it so changed his mind that day to go to LSU.

This is the same story I heard. When he heard the song he stepped up and said LSU.

Nice cars. I had a 280ZX Turbo my Junior year of high school and a 300ZX Turbo my senior year. I couldn't play football, but I was a spoiled brat.
Posted in another thread, a guy I went to high school with got a new Z28 with his future LSU number on the license plate during senior year.

I saw J Reed getting out of an Escalade he had parked in front of the football building. It was after the football season ended and he was a Jr., so .......

Yeah, he used to drive it over to Triple A when I DJ'd there. He'd always be asking me to play songs for him.

The real question is, did he get a gold Trans Am like Eric Dickerson?

I remember seeing John Williams driving around campus in a bright red BMW in the 80s.

Funniest was seeing Steffond Johnson driving around in a 280Z, then he got booted off the team, and the next week another Tiger basketball player was driving it.

Another story from my friend who worked at a mens' store, and Don Redden bought $1000 of clothes with a booster's credit card.

Just the way it was back then.

I don't think anyone is surprised that prospects are paid to play for certain universities. That's the way of the game and it still is.

As well they should be.

Some schools can get away with it, while others can't.

That is the problem I have.

i agree also. He doesn't know much about the current NFL players. Plus I don't like it when they ask him about another sport knowing he doesn't watch anything....at all

Harvey had a lot of potential. He also had a big mouth (talking about aTm "having that stinky stuff all over them" the week of the game, which aTm won.

In terms of less than expected achievement, I am not sure how much of that was Harvey vs a couple of injuries vs the supporting cast he had around him.

Williams had an unusual running style, iirc. More upright.
