This while site is built on rumors.

Basically you know something is true when the admins immediately whack a thread. It’s the best barometer of truth on here. Any thread they let go on for 100 pages is usually bullshite. Not sure why the admins are fascists on here as I seriously doubt they get any money from LSU or real access for being good little censors but maybe getting a pat on the head from Woody is enough.

I guarantee you there are people in the LSU athletic office that monitor what's being said here. Heard it straight from Woodwards mouth. He didn't delve into the specifics, but he made it very clear that they are aware of what goes on here at all times. As they should. Not saying LSU should control anything about the site, but they damn well should be keen to what's being said, especially if it's people internally with them saying things.
It sucks for us (the common users) but I also get why that would work out that way. It one of those "why the frick are disclosing all our inside secrets" type thing.
As petty and ridiculous as some people think this site is, it is a MAJOR social media platform for LSU. And I'm sure Chicken is on good grounds and in communication with some of the higher ups at LSU because of that. It is the most timely and convenient way to get any news regarding LSU. With a click you can find out things that it takes the local news media a few days to come out with (and to be honest they probably get it here and verify it).
Some things need to be kept under wraps even though our gossipy nature wants us all to be in the know at all times.

This is the world we live in now, it's not about being accurate, it's about being the FIRST to report the information. Everybody want to be the first and accuracy and truth be damned.

In Chicken's defense, TD is way more open minded than other school's fan message boards, especially TexAgs. You say anything other than complete sunshine will lead you to being banned. However, TD is more likely to accept trolls from other teams disguised as "LSU fans".
