Keep that attitude and this level of play will never go away.

You mean the greatest level of play over the course of a decade during the Golden Age of LSU Football? Well, yeah, I hope that never goes away.

I love to be a fan of the SECW cellar dwellers.

WOW!!! Great post Speedy...
too bad not everyone is impressed with clm's record...it is pretty impressive, although, he has been on the down side the last few years...hopefully, he can right the ship before TS burns down from lack of participation by the fans...

You mean the greatest level of talent. When it comes down to coaching, Les gets beat almost every time.

But you're right. I'm sure that the chains being moved really does mean you can't call a time out. Dude's a fricking genius.

If you break his career into the first 5 and last 5 years the contrast is stark:

2005,2006,2007,2008,2009

NCG - 1-0
BCS - 2-0
All Bowls - 4-0*

SEC CG - 1-1
SEC West champion - twice

2010,011,2012,2013,2014
NCG - 0-1
BCS - 0-1
All Bowls - 2-2
SEC CG - 1-0
SEC West champion - once

*Does not include Penn State's vacated win.

Two sec west titles in his first 3 years!

Then just 1 sec west title the next 7 years! Throw out the records and his coaching flaws. Now is that a decline? Yes or no?

I agree that:

1) LSU deserves Coach Miles

2) LSU's powers that be could not find a better coach

3) Coach Miles will be at LSU for years to come, regardless of whether he wins another NC

Saban can be bought. Its just an issue of how much. And then even after that - there's the "process" - meaning we'll have to lose to UAB or UL Monroe at some point. It may not be worth the pain.
