Another stat:
Since 1-9-12 which was when LSU lost to Alabama in the national championship game. LSU is 11-7 in SEC games. Beating up on Wisconsin, Oregon, Washington, Arizona St, Arizona are all find and good. But then you beat up on the Idaho's, Sam Houston St, Townson's, ULM's, etc it don't always tell the whole story.

How many timeouts have been wasted because the coaches haven't figured out how to get a play call in? Also how many 3 and outs to start a game

Incredible stat right there, folks.
Yes, I'm pissed. But Les Miles could be winless the rest of the season and you don't fire the man. The defense is a concern. The offense will be fine - we're just young. This team wins at least 12 games 2 seasons from now. Chill the frick out, people.
ETA - I've been a Tiger fan since the late '70s. I almost WANT them to fire Miles just so most of the morons on The Rant can see what the other side of football looks like for 20 years as we struggle to regain what we had.

I'm pretty certain mack brown, Bobby bowden, and Joe paterno all had threads like this while their programs floated into mediocrity at the end of their careers.
Posted on 10/7/14 at 6:16 am to 911Moto
If he is so terrible as a game day coach how do you explain his winning record after trailing in the 4th quarter? Be careful what you wish for Nega-tigers, that grass Les chews on might not be so green after he's gone!

I'll ask again. 2 sec west titles in his first 3 years!
Then just 1 sec west title the next 7 years! Throw out the records and his coaching flaws. Now is that a decline? Yes or no?
Posted on 10/7/14 at 6:34 am to Fat Bastard
How is it a decline when Bama went on and won 3 nattys and Auburn went to two?
The top of the pole is only so big.

I am a BIG Coach Miles supporter! His record is one that I am very proud of as a graduate of LSU. Yet, while he has forgotten more than I know, I truly hope he will move our offense to the spread. With Brandon Harris, LF, Chi, Trey, et al., we will compete with the SEC West. I may be wrong, but please, Coach, consider it.

Well, that's actually easy. LSU is 23-21 when trailing in the fourth. The next team on that list was 7-9.
That tells me that we were down in the fourth 44 times. That's 4-5 times a season. TWICE that of comparable programs. That tells me we were playing down to the competition often and confirms how ugly our wins really are.
A lot of those games...against bad teams.
That tells me Les is not a great game day coach and ultimately prevails because of superior talent and CONDITIONING.
The record is 23-23 now by the way.
