Agree.. everything's on the line you do whatever gives you the best chance. The situation didn't call for Pap or Deich to bunt, it was Duplantis. However, I would have bunted them too. Guarantee Sully would have and I hate O'Sullivan.

Pretty common thing With LSU baseball for the last few years, we have big problems when it comes to effectively laying down bunts. In the CWS it is an effective weapon.

You're not going to see it the way I did so it's pointless to argue with you. We weren't hitting the ball well all game. You do what you have to do to get the run in and create a spark. But the run in was the big thing. You have to create a new game with it tied and go from there. Give yourself a tied game with runner on 2 with 1 out. But that play was more understandable than the duplantis one.

Pretty much. Had the bunt been called and Dups couldn't get it down, posters would be criticizing CPM for not letting one of our better RBI guys swing. This board loves to criticize the team's bunting ability as it is.

Heck, who knows, maybe the pitcher herp derps and throws it in the dugout and you have 2nd and 3rd no outs and Deichman up. Or, they get the runner out at at home and you have 1st and 2nd with one out and Deichman up. And they pitch around Dman. Loaded with Watson up.
I like my odds with the bunt in THAT situation, late after a shitty call the inning before.

Why are you assuming a bunt call would have worked. What percentages do you have to show that Dup and Pap would have gotten it down and the run scored?
