Don't be an idiot. You have no idea if LSU is gonna tank this season and even if they did, there's no way you can know he wouldn't stay committed.

It's an amazing day for LSU football. Just enjoy it.

because the pundits say; "fool me once, my bad, but dam if you're going to fool me 6 times in a row, F that"

but it turns out it is a bad time for them to decide to change their picks because they are going to get burned for it. Right at the time LSU is going to have a good year they decide to pick them to have a bad year. Pundits don't know shite.

Again, just pointing out the double standard.

The same people who say “don’t bash O because he’s the HC” we’re doing exactly that when Les was HC.

I wanted Les gone in ‘15 btw.

Well, no, because according to you you’ve stamped “failure” on O and has closed the book. And he keeps going out and landing kids like this. In other words you don’t know shite

Actually I’m not one of the ones in this thread or others discounting the recruiting. In fact I started a thread previously saying “10-2 looks to be the floor this year because of all the recent positive developments.”

Keep up.

I think most just have rational reservations about O given his checkered (to put it lightly) past and some concerning developments since he's been here.

Is this not why he was hired? Recruiting is purportedly his "thing". The number 1 recruit in the country is located in Baton Rouge and we locked him up. Good. Now we need to see results on the field and keep what will likely be a very good to great recruiting class together through signing day.

Since recruiting is his thing, are we not supposed to give him props or be happy when we land big recruits?

I get that the guy hasn’t done the greatest job ever here at LSU and his Ole miss record speaks for itself, but why can’t we just be happy we got the kid?

Why do we have to stop celebrating getting a huge recruit because O still needs to prove himself on game day?

Of course. I'm giving him props right now. Landing a recruit of this caliber is always great news.

I guess I just don't understand the quasi-gloating and "SEE I TOLD YOU" kind of reactions I'm seeing from some of the more vocal of O's defenders.

You should be. I am.

That’s fine. To say he’s a shite coach after 1 season means you lack perspective & shouldn’t be taken seriously.

According to some, LSU fans should never be happy about anything to do with the LSU program. "If you aint miserable, you aint tryin".

I mean He was a shite coach before he ever coached here.

He needs to do something to change that perception because right now I feel like he’s living off Aranda’s defense.

Well his overall record to date indicates "shite coach". But he can prove everyone wrong and write a new chapter in his book by getting LSU back to championship caliber. This is the year to take that leap.

It's an anonymous message board. I'd think in a significant amount of circumstances, quite a bit of imagination is needed.

According to you recruiting rankings don’t matter anyways. I have no idea why you’re celebrating.

He was 9-4 in his only season at LSU. That doesn't exactly scream "shite coach".

But hey, if you need to go back over a decade in history in order to get your term to fit your narrative, go for it.
