Portal is closed meaning no more top shelf kids are entering because its closed is what he meant i think.

Nobody corrected me. The portal closed last week.
What is Wade going to do? I just said he has to go to Europe or try for G League. You know why? The portal is closed. If there were guys in it that either he wanted it or they wanted to go to LSU, it would have been DONE BY NOW. You know how I know that? Bc I can look at the exact dates he put together his NC State roster. I also follow college basketball and there are usually very few impact transfers that finalize after May 1. The few that are are all NBA draft pullouts. Which Wade got 1 guy like that last year. 1… LSU needs at least 6 more guys.
This is a disaster and the solution isn’t coming from the portal.

The portal isn’t closed and there are over 2,600 players in it. Your scenario that there are no players left is laughably untrue.

Just look at the dates, you goober. At NC State, he had most of his team signed by now. Since that is an exact and absolute correlation to this season at LSU, there is zero hope according to “do the fukn math”.

The strategy is obvious, he’s waiting on guys like Allen and other top guys remaining and if he doesn’t get em he’ll go for type like the players he had on his last team here (Gaines, Pinson etc.). He can win with offense or defense so either way we’ll be improved but maybe a conf contender if things go our way.

Never seen a guy who could change the temperature of a game so quickly. Unranked player, 6-2 with a +6 wingspan, elite speed, springs, a nightmare on the ball and a worker. He was the guy who made that D go.

The reason I think there’s a fair criticism is because we got a significant boost in NIL according to administration, some have said 12-15m…only 11 of the top 100 transfers remain unsigned. We lost the #19, #84 overall transfers to the portal as well as Reed and Reece who went to better programs. So I do think it’s fair to be concerned with things as it sits right now.
Will we fill a roster? Yes. There’s a chance we get Graves for a kings ransom, but what other impact player has even expressed interest outside of that? LSU is ponying up the resources to win right now, that is clear. So it’s more than fair. I’m curious to see how it shakes out.
