And that number was 10mil last year but we got the same excuses. Btw Duke listed their NIL as the exact same, 10mil which nobody believes because no school declares their actual NIL numbers since they don’t have to. LSU just went through a lawsuit that proves it. You guys need to drop that excuse because it’s vapor, it’s theoretical only.

I think maybe in like 3 weeks we are gonna learn that wade has 3 Serbians, 2 lithuanians. and 2 high level transfers and a 5 star freshman

Irrelevant. The facts are LSU paid a hefty buyout and chose to bring Will Wade back and significantly increase NIL. That’s on record. How much? One could assume. Surely it was more than NC State was offering because that was reportedly one of the reasons he left, and we know by their own words that they had raised enough to compete with the top of the conference, including Duke. So, however you want to slice that is fine, but the facts are LSU hired McMahon with no real expectation of winning until last season when the whole thing derailed.
They hired Wade to win at a high level this season, and it’s fair that people are on his arse when around 90% of the good players are off the board. He was brought in to win right now and he’s already losing in the portal.
He may completely blow it out of the water with players from Europe, and you won’t hear another word from me about it, but right now, it’s completely fair to question or be critical.

No, not to that extreme. I don’t think that McMahon was ready for the job, there’s nothing to justify bad results. However, I think that LSU gave him minimal resources and overestimated his value as a coach(in this point of his career) thinking he was an elite coach and could coach a team up to make the tournament. I also believe that’s why he got a 10 year deal.
I was absolutely welcoming to a change and have made it known on multiple occasions that I was fine with a new face, not an old one. That being said, I still hope that I am wrong in my assessment of Wade, and have also made it clear that I want LSU to win yet you continue to “project” that I want LSU to lose and that I’m a McMahon loyalist. As I’ve said before, there are valid reasons right now someone would question what’s going on behind the scenes. I am certainly one of them, but all of that can change in days or months. At this point, I would actually prefer us going the international route outside of a handful, or more of guys still available.

If youre a 5*, you are NOT coming here to waste talent and play a year with other unknowns. Its suicide on your evaluation to do so.

Agreed. Its just such complete uncharted waters at this point, that I have real issue with posters who think all is fine. Its not.
Sure I think we'll field a team. But things look grim and that 5 year rule helps in no way, since seeing no grandfathering in will be given to those in last year of eligibility.
