Yeah that was weird.

On to Bama. I’m over this one. More in shock than anything.

I didn’t think that would ever happen to her! Just goes to show you they aren’t robots, they are human too. I had a bad feeling about floor when they had to shuffle up the lineup last minute.

Hopefully they will use this as motivation to come back strong and beat them in SECs!

Their is a risk and reward to her floor. Major scores if hit but a lot of room for things to go on due to difficulty.

That said, Ballard EARNED a spot and shouldn't come out moving forward.

Kiya on floor was definitely missed. I still think Desiderio needs to stay out of floor right now. She has almost had major injuries her last 3 floor routines.

Put in Elena or Dunne on floor.

LSU needs to get Arenas in on bars.

You and I both said hold Desiderio out another week. I also think they need to change Haleigh’s bars dismount. That’s a tenth every meet.

She hits that 99 out of 100. Feel really bad for Haleigh

Not even close

One kid acted like a dumbass, the other had a mistake on a E tumbling pass at the end of her routine.

It was not meant as a slight to Haleigh Bryant, just noting in each case the opposing team was given a gift. I am fully aware one action was dumb and self centered and the other was an inadvertent stumble. The first you can blame the athlete, the other was just an awkward landing resulting in a fall. The end result for their teams was was the same and ironically the same schools involved.

Unfortunately, I think it is time to stop the desiderio on floor experiment - I mean truly, give jt up. And not a slight to Christina - it’s just unfortunate through injuries and just normal growth she has never been able to be consistent and tonight - I feel like we were lucky she didn’t tear an ankle ligament or worse which puts her out for beam.

I am still coming down from watching that meet - it was honestly spectacular (and can you IMAGINE Haleigh, Kiya, AND Trinity on the same team, that was a sad one to lose) but am gutted for Haleigh. We shoes growth - that was a post season vault lineup, bars was probably overscored in general as were kiya and haleigh on beam (fl floor scores were super high in that rotation too, so it evened out - even if FL fans don’t agree, lol) but man - that was not our best case floor scenario and we needed it to be.

Biggest pluses - though she was shaky, kiya stayed on the beam, which is progress for this season and our (somewhat crazy) 198.

This is why I don’t mind when those who “don’t care” about women’s sports just stay away. They are arguably the second most successful program and probably the most consistent program at LSU over the last five years and crap like this gets said.

Desiderio doesn’t need to be part of floor. She just doesn’t have it and it finally cost them!

You’re an idiot. She is a Freshman and that experience was huge for her especially when they go to postseason. Christina is the one that shite the bed and put that pressure on her.

Haleigh is spectacular and by far the best freshmen in the country this year. It was an anomaly but she has nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone fricks up at some point and she happened to just make a mistake tonight. She's human and will get better from this. To be honest I thought Florida was a little bit better than us so I don't think the meet should have came down to it anyways.

Christina, though I like her a lot, needs to be out of the floor lineup moving forward. Either get Dunne or Arenas in there. This is 3 floor routines in a row where something went terribly bad. Quite frankly, we are lucky she is still walking.

Ballard has sat on the side for most of the season, but she is honestly one of our best floor workers. Like I said, she just need reps and she will get better. I feel the same thing can occur if we get the other freshmen reps on floor.

I was able to watch all the workouts beforehand plus the actual competition. These two teams that were on the floor tonight are very evenly matched. 10 matches would be 5-5 in my opinion. That said, this is the 2nd time in less than 3 weeks where a Tiger team in the PMAC in absolute control of the game clutched defeat from the jaws of victory. There was some inflated scoring both ways, but I suspect (hope) we’re like a locomotive building momentum. I don’t see Florida getting much better, and I believe with our best lineup we can take them.

The great thing about athletic competition is you often get a second chance. That chance for Haleigh might come in April. Just imagine her as the floor anchor in the final rotation with the national championship on the line and she needs a 9.925 to clinch the first national title in the program's history. I would not bet against her.

Gymnastics is so athletically impressive and let’s face it often sexy, but it’s such a subjective thing to score.

I’ll always believe LSU won the 2016 Natty over OU.

Good meet Tigers! I expect to see you a couple more times this year with the stakes increasing each time. Best of luck until then. Always fun when Florida and LSU face off in any sport. Fierce competition!
