I think he's a high cieling kid and a talent. He struggled in his few SEC games to adjust to the physicality, but I think he can be a difference.
Miller is one of the better guys on the team at creating his own shot off the dribble. The structure and execution of LSU's halfcourt offensive approach doesn't do a very good job of creating open shots on its own (237th in assists per made FG), so guys capable of creating their own shot is almost a must.
The only thing Miller has really struggled with this season is knocking down open 3's. But he's shown he can hit mid-range jumpers off the bounce (a rare skill in today's game) and get to the rim. He also can make FTs. Auburn blocks a TON of shots. Best in the nation. But they also foul a lot too. LSU can't shoot threes worth a lick. But no one in the SEC shoots FTs better. If I'm McMahon I'm telling my team "put on some extra padding tonight because I don't care if Auburn blocks 10 shots, we are attacking the rim all night long. Either we are going to make the shot., they're going to block it, or we are sending Chest, Collins, even Green to the offensive glass to clean up the misses." The goal for LSU should be to attempt at least 25 FTs tonight

There is no such thing as impossible in todays game. Improbable but not impossible. Auburn is not a heavy turnover team which has been one of our weaknesses. They are a stay in front and defend block shots at the rim defense so that may actually be a positive for us as far as TO. But I also agree, go to the hole and cut down on the 3's. They are an excellent FT shooting team. Carter and Spears are an amazing 50-51 from the FT line. If they can continue to battle on the boards, which they have done recently and continue to play good defense then anything can happen at home. They hit their 3's they beat bama on the road. They tone down the TO they beat TAM on the road . Maybe 10 -12 TO max would be a good sign. They play better post defense/rebound and they beat Vandy at home. They aren't as far off as you say they are but they need to get it done. Simple as that. And yes with Reed they get 3-4 more wins.

"Good sign"? It would be a minor miracle if LSU ended up with only 10-12 turnovers. LSU is averaging 14 TOs per game in SEC play. The only power conf. opponent against whom LSU has had less than 12 TOs is Florida St (10). There is a lot of "if only" in there. That's generally the mark of bad teams. They find different ways to lose games.
I do think LSU COULD have a chance tonight (as unlikely as it sounds). This is a sandwich game, on the road, between two ranked opponents for Auburn. LSU is not a good 3 point shooting team and they LONG should have abandoned any thought otherwise (though McMahon seems to still believe they are...2/3rds of the way through the season). That said, even bad 3 point shooting teams tend to make a few more at home. LSU is going to need to get to the FT line and they are going to need to have a strong performance on the offensive glass (while hoping to keep Broome somewhat in check). LSU is terrible in the half court offensively, so any chance they get to run, they have to take it. Auburn is not a big "tempo" team, so taking a few steps to try to increase the tempo could help LSU.
If you want to pull a big upset the underdog needs to establish some belief early on. If LSU falls behind big, quickly, whatever life is in the building will be sucked out quickly and an upset will be much more difficult. I'll be interested to see if McMahon starts Givens again. He's not giving you much (no pun intended) and LSU is going to have to have a big game from Sears. It makes no sense to leave him on the bench for the first 4+ minutes.

And if we threw some trapping and pressing on them it would shock them, we've done so little this year but I think we have the guys we could be effective at it.

I think it is fair guess. Reed did have the best BPM on the team. He was playing good ball, even if he wasn’t putting up great stats. He probably would be worth a few more games.

I don't necessarily agree with +3-4 wins. We're 1-5, so we would be 4-2 or 5-1 right now? That's a yeah, no.
