Right. You simps said this every year he was here next year, okay this year was a little disappointing but next year, okay disappointing again, always next year because we'll be loaded for a final 4! The story of Wade at LSU with their prompt exits come postseason time.

Coach k at 38 years old led Duke to National runners up!
So now the standard for LSU basketball is if you aren’t on pace to be the best college basketball coach of all time, we want you gone!
Anyone who is happy Wade is gone is a delusional fricking idiot

The guy was 38 years old!! And he had the best stretch of 5 years in LSU basketball history. Do you really think Coach K and Bill Self were the same when they were 38 versus where they are now? He’s extremely talented at analytics and game planning. Does he have room to grow? Absolutely!! Was he a great coach and fit for LSU? Absolutely!
Coach K was brought up by someone acting like Wade had done more at age 38 than Coach K had.

Adam Miller goes down and it’s somehow acceptable to the Wade nut suckers on this board that there’s not another shooter on the team
I always found this funny because Miller himself was not a shooter.

I don’t understand how anyone can look at 3 tournaments and say Wade has a reputation for early exits.
That’s just a small sample size and one of the three involves a sweet 16.
And if you’re only looking at tournaments he coached it’s even smaller.
We only ever got bounced in the first round 1 time and only after they fired Wade.
This was probably our least talented team. We lost 3/4 of our top scorers and they made up Somethings like 60% of our pints last year.
It was a completely retooled roster with maybe 2-3 contributors who were on the team in 2021. 1 starter. And we made the tournament as a 6 seed.

that signing a bunch of 5*’s and being a terrible in-game coach didn’t work for Wade for 4+ years and wouldn’t have ever worked
Like i said in the other thread, Forever a moron.

why you think signing more of the same caliber players was going to yield different results
Why would anyone want “different” results? He went to 4 straight tournaments and won the SEC.

You people are relentless with the Wade bashing. Most of it is such utter BS.

I was researching early careers of some coaches and John Wooden didn’t make a final four til his 14th season and a natty til his 16th. Different times obviously but still pretty wild.
He went on a pretty good run after that

Will Wade will NEVER be on the same level as the Bill Selfs, Coach Ks, or Jay Wrights.
Possibly. He can’t cheat worth a shite.

What a dumb comparison
No LSU basketball coach will ever be on that level. And if they are they won’t be here long.

Just trust Woodward. He knows everything including how to bow down to the NCAA.

I can tell you one thing, making absolute statements in sports is a sure fire way to look like a fool.

Are you kidding. The BB we saw in the playoffs was no way in the form that we saw from LSU. Now that was a well oil machine we saw in the playoffs. No way in the world we could play like these teams. Why??, That remains for you to decide. I won't go into styles at all. You have to decide on that.

This years talent was pretty average at best and they lost a lot from the previous year. A lesser year was expected but when you’re lesser year is a six seed you know the program was going in the right direction

Wade was an average coach that could recruit (pay players)
Posted on 4/5/22 at 5:25 pm to Pelican fan99
A good contrast is UCLA, they returned 92-93% of their production, won 5 more games and didn’t go nearly as far in the tourney. LSU lost 93% of its production and still won 3 more games only having a 1 game difference in the tourney without the coach even there. But these people don’t follow college basketball, they only know how to shite post.

There’s no such thing as cheating in today’s day and age thanks to NIL so it’s very bad that Scott Woodward obeyed the NCAA a organization that is losing power by the day and got rid of the pear for nothing. Paying players is legal and there was no evidence Javonte smart got paid and even if he did bam it’s not illegal anymore. Geaux Tigers!!!

I don’t understand this place. I know about 20 diehard lsu fans and they all have the same take as me on the situation. They also believe wade was good at lsu , he didn’t do much, cheating wise, that wasn’t being done just about everywhere and that woodward didn’t have much of a choice once the allegations were made public , but to move on.
Maybe the timing could have been better but it was gonna follow the team during the tournament if he didn’t do it .
Yet I get on this site and there’s all of these extreme takes on wade. It’s weird to me that every lsu fan I meet is different than any lsu fan on the board
