Does anyone still think this years LSU basketball teams talent or coaching, was on the same level of the teams we saw in the Final Four?
We got to witness what real team basketball looks like, with great coaching.
Will Wade will NEVER be on the same level as the Bill Selfs, Coach Ks, or Jay Wrights.
I’m tired of reading tRant prophesying Wade as some genius coach.

The guy was 38 years old!! And he had the best stretch of 5 years in LSU basketball history. Do you really think Coach K and Bill Self were the same when they were 38 versus where they are now? He’s extremely talented at analytics and game planning. Does he have room to grow? Absolutely!! Was he a great coach and fit for LSU? Absolutely!

Coach K and Bill Self definitely weren’t making gigantic assholes out of themselves at 38 years old and getting fired for playing pretend gangster
If you take away Bill Self’s Oral Roberts tenure for obvious reasons, he was bringing Tulsa and Illinois to the Elite 8 within 3 years of taking over. John Calipari took UMass to the elite 8 and final 4 within 7 years of starting his HC career.
Wade hasn’t accomplished shite in his HC career with all of 5*’s whether you like it or not. He’s had some serious talent over the years and has only made it out of the round of 32 once. He’s not some phenom coach if you compare his career to actual phenom coaches nor will he ever be

In the 3 years prior to turning 39, Bill Self had just gone to the sweet sixteen and 2 elite 8s at Tulsa and Illinois.
Jay Wright just got the job at Villanova at 39.
John Calipari Was in the NBA but took Umass to the final four and elite while in his mid-30s before getting them on probation.

Wade recruited Christian Braun & Ochai Agbaji pretty heavily! We thought both were headed here at one point. Then both magically sign with Kansas.

You guys have no idea what “bad” is. With what y’all are calling a “bad roster” with a “bad coach” LSU just had its second highest NCAAT seed since 2006. This same “bad coach” who doesn’t know how to construct a roster in only year 2 on the job built a SEC champion that drew the highest NCAAT seed for LSU since 1981.
You guys are absolutely clueless.

Our team roster and style of play were not close to the final 8. Whether WW could ever have gotten there is an open debate.
Which comes first. Few effective three point shooters or no real offensive consistency.
UNC beats Duke with pretty solid three point shooting. Can’t reproduce that last night.
It is not rational to compare any coach to Self Coach K and Jay Wright. Kind of like comparing football coaches to Saban
