Would a substantial fix to the post-game traffic issue help with full game attendance?

If a system was set up to make the post-game traffic way, way better and easier to get out there, do you think our attendance would increase in the 4th quarter?

May help some. I think the bigger issue is you have to get to campus so early now that it has become an all day affair. People are tired and the red hat vampire sucks the life out of the stadium experience every time there is a stop in play.

No but if mf’ers could sit for 5 min without making everyone in isle stand up 97698757 times a game to let them by. Look around stands all game, it’s wild to see how many people are in isles moving allllll game.

It would make a huge difference. Some would still leave but it would make the entire experience better and safer. More people would want to go and stay. I also think it would make a big difference in attendance for the nonconference games

I'm going to use a few numbers as estimates, but if you have a street rated or designed to carry, say, 5,000 cars per hour, there's no fix when 10,000 or more try to use that road in the hour after a game.
Because people arrive at different times leading up to a game, the problem is not nearly as noticeable prior to kickoff. But when a majority of fans stay until the end, or nearly the end, this is going to happen.
Between LSU and law enforcement, I would think and hope that studies have been done to minimize congestion, and get people on their way ASAP. If such a study has been done, I wish it would be made public, along with the steps taken to implement the recommendations.

It would help a lot, but at the end of the day if it’s 10oclock at night and we are beating someone by 30 in the 4th, it’s seems pretty understandable to head home.

I don't think they are willing to invest in the infrastructure so the only possible "fix" is some sort of shuttle system that incentives people to park somewhere off campus

Aside from a legitimate shuttle system to take people to satellite parking lots along I-10 the only help I see would be designated pedestrian routes to keep cars from having to stop for crowds crossing the roads. The city isn't gonna invest in the infrastructure it would take to truly solve the problem

Maybe I’m on my own here, but I’m willing to sacrifice the contriflow to enjoy watching an LSU weekly game. Live in Mandeville, drive back after game.

LSU is in a neighborhood and one side of the campus has a river.
There's only so much they do about the traffic.
They've tried everything.
Best thing you can do is park somewhere that gets you the direction you need to be going.
