I'm not trying to be sarcastic or confrontational, but is it wise to build additional lanes that are only needed and used 7 - 8 Saturdays per year? If the existing roads are sufficient for the other 357 days, I think we have to find ways to make traffic flow better on those 7 - 8 days.

If there are daily backups and congestion on say, Nicholson, Highland, and Lee Drive, then adding lanes would be a win-win. Keep in mind, though, that buying the needed property from the existing owners would probably be prohibitively expensive.
