They just showed a crowd shot of the Kent State game, and I get fans are usually making their way back to their seats after halftime, but it looked like an entire side of that stadium was almost empty.

They did say it was like 107 heat index there today.

Not many people will be interested in watching the 2nd half of a blowout win in that.

Yes, it is motherfricking hot out there. In a blowout win I am headed to my air conditioned house to my recliner.

I totally agree.

I want to say that Bryant Denny is still pretty full, but I won't compare the 2 fanbases.

It’s the hottest game ever I believe at SC. I’ll cut them some slack today because it’s a blowout and they usually have pretty dedicated fans.

When lil Beamer is your coach, there ain’t much interest.

Pretty crazy because years ago South Carolina was packing the stadium while not winning a game

Indiana has whole sections empty. Pretty sad for a defending national champ.

Todays feel like temp was a 110 so that would keep folks away.

Can we really talk though…I’m thinking about the UCLA game a couple of years back.

Yeah like the ucla game. At some point AC and watching on tv is a safer idea.

I was watching a little bit of game day today when they had to go inside due to lightning so another program took over I was going over the highlights of the USC game from last night and how they rebounded with attendance is what they said however, none of the highlights actually showed the crowd so this makes me suspicious

I hate to tell you but a lot of people are losing interest because it’s a joke!

I went to the LSU game there 2 years ago. frick, it was so hot in the sun.

Lots of people moved to the ramps to watch game in shade.

same w me. Columbia is a well known “heat dome” city. It gets hot AF.

I live in the area.

Now, in BR today, I am remembering the true definition of humidity. That’s also something that’s “just different” about BR.

Louisiana doesn’t hold the patent on heat.

Louisiana DOES hold the patent on humidity. Sweet Jeezus it’s muggy today! I’ve prob just been away too long, lol!

It's too damned HOT. When I was a kid, college football games started the third Saturday in September. Wasn't cool but not as hot at starting dates nowadays.

If the Clemson game kicked off at 11am today, there might be quite a few empty seats spread about in TS.

USCe was their 18th consecutive sellout.
