Burrow didn't look like an absolute retard his first season in the SEC and he had far fewer game reps than Sam did coming in. The better comp is probably Jayden as he had a tendency to run the ball too often at first, however he also had a shite load more composure than Leavitt in general. He was more accurate. He just relied on his 1st read and run strategy a bit too much. Leavitt has Zero idea what he is doing out there. There are High School QB's with a better grasp at the QB position than Sam Leavitt.

You serious?
He's played better so far than Burrow and Daniels did in their first year in the SEC.
The game is super fast right now for him.

He’s not a QB. He’s a great athlete but not a QB.

If it wasn't for his ability to run, I'd take Nuss over him. At least Nuss can somewhat throw it downfield.
I'm so beyond out on Leavitt. He doesn't have a feel for the game and he won't figure it out either. Tonight is exactly who he is.

Burrow also was playing w a dislocated shoulder at one point. He could always think the game. That team was not paid/designed to win a championship that year. Leavitt is closer to year 1 Jordan Jefferson than Burrow or Jayden. He's really bad. He has wheels and moxie. Burrow and Jayden were composed leaders game 1 of their stints.
People always underrate Jayden having to deal with Boutte going ape shite game 1 because he had bet $200K on his own stats in game 1 against Florida State. Jayden had to deal with his best WR being a retard crashout and we still only lost because we missed an extra point.

The reality of Sam Leavitt is that he was not Lane Kiffen's first choice. The plan was to get Chambliss to LSU and that didn't work out for obvious reasons.
He may be the weakest starting QB that we have in the LK era.
That said, I still think that the light is going to come on for him soon.

Decision-Making, that’s it. He second guessed too many times including the TD at the end. He should’ve thrown the ball as 44 made the cut, not after. He pumped and then overthought and threw it badly

He’s not fit for QB at this level. He’s in over his head.
People said that about JD5 as well in his first year after transferring. Have to give it time. The chances everything was going to fall in place perfectly in year 1 under Kiffin were never that high. Relax and see how this team builds over time.
