Totally off topic but wanted to respond to your comment from the rant that is now locked re: in what setting did skip tell me this.
In an effort to not dox myself, I was in a setting with he, Auggie Gariddo, smoke, two other former baseball staffers, and a few of his former players. That’s when he told me the story. He could’ve been puffing his chest out for Auggie for all I know but he didn’t strike me as that kind of guy.
To be clear, I did not have a close relationship with him. I just happened to be in a room with a handful of people who had EXTREMELY close relationships with him.
He specially mentioned the part about the Alabama boosters getting Saban off the record money, too
I know you may not believe me, but that’s what happened in my situation. It may not even be true, but I choose to believe him.
