He mindfricked LSU on that series of PAT plays and sealed the win.

Honestly not sure what you don’t understand. If they don’t snap the 2 pt play where we jumped offsides, 5 yard penalty and they bring out kicker

The touchdown before half was the difference in the game and nothing will tell me different

It was a dumb call aided by us jumping offsides 2 times. They were 100% snapping that ball each time. Fowler kept saying analytics this and analytics that, but that call was so stupid.

Twice. It would have been stupid before a jump. It still would have been stupid before the second jump. You could tell the plan was to try to get a free play and throw for 2 if they got a free play and they were otherwise going to back out and kick it. But when we teed it up for them at the 1 foot line, it stopped being stupid to go for 2.

We weren’t stopping them to that point, so a no brainer

Another point of view, the last thing Ole Miss wanted was a tie game and overtime.

All different if they missed a 2pt and one throw is made with an extra point.

I dont think he would have actually snapped the pall for 2 unless we jumped 2x and put the ball on the .75 yardline
I think they elders just trying to get us to burn that Time out

I feel he was going for 2 the whole time. The whole time it was an unnecessary risk.

Ole Miss took many risk throughout the game that they happened to convert; however, they were not the right strategic call or long-term
Winning philosophy.

We made it to the 6? That’s a dumb statement. You can say that in retrospect but we absolutely had a chance to score.
And we literally did not score

Not many went for 2 for no reason like Golding was pretending to do neither. It was nothing to lose. 5 yards on extra or for an elite kicker is nothing to lose in that scenario

I think the logic is that if you get the ball back, you would need a FG to win the game anyway.

Whether it’s 31-31, 32-32, or 30-31.

By going for 2 and getting it, you basically get one more play at winning the game by being able to prevent a 2 pt conversion on defense.

The only way this strategy would backfire is if you missed the 2, and LSU ran off all the clock and scored a TD and not gave you any time left in regulation to get the FG.

Pretty easy decision when you’re going for 2 from the half yard line…

It was a call that would have lost the game if he didn’t make it.
