It didn’t matter. We were never scoring

We literally had a receiver standing alone in the EZ. But Sam can’t read a defense or go through his progressions

So many missed opportunities.

That was actually dumb. If they don’t convert that and Sam hits 44, we could have been up by 1. That would have been a disaster of a decision in that situation.

There was no "if."

Ole Miss converted every single short yardage play of the game, and they knew it. In fact that was the third one of that drive alone, and they went 3 for 3 (Lindsey converted all three himself).

He is assuming LSU scores and we would have a chance for the win. He knows Lane would go for 2. He had confidence in getting 3 yds they h ave all night

Imo, OM wasn't going for 2. Statistically it made no sense; LSU had alot of time left on the clock, and they had regained some momentum by moving the ball down field better than any other time in the game.
I think Pete was trolling LK at first, hoping to maybe force us to burn a timeout. It's actually something I think LK would've done. But after the penalty, odds were in their favor, and Ole Pete pulled the trigger. It was a helluva call either way and he def let his nuts hang out on that one

we had a receiver wide open in the EZ TWICE!!!

If he would’ve IED the guy crossing and wide open, like he’s supposed to and not thrown behind hm, it wouldn’t have clunked off the defender’s helmet

They weren't going until we fell for it not once, but twice and made it basically easy to score. You line up and hope for LSU to burn a TO or jump offsides. And we jumped twice. So dumb.
