It seemed like he didn’t have the same burst he had against Clemson. Against Clemson it felt like he broke many tackles and ran like a mad man.

I’m wondering if he was nicked or wasn’t as hyped up.

Hard to do when you’re getting hit behind the line of scrimmage

Possibly, but I put a lot of this on an uninspired O Line. If we get the La Tech game O Line effort at Ole Miss we lose.

If we get the Clemson game O Line effort we beat Ole Miss by 17.

Yes, but the fact that our offensive line got dominated, probably got something to do with that just saying

The 3 3 5 was effective getting into the backfield. Definitely good exposure for this o line to see that and now have tape on it.

Doubt we beat OM by 17.
Easily see a handful of false starts with this OL in a hostile environment on the road

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I went back and watched the Clemson highlights and told my buddies that I think he looks slow, our offensive line just dominated. He made some nice cuts on the 1 long run he had last night I’ll say that much but I agree I think he looks kinda slow

They are not beating om unless the line plays better.
The offense is not the pace that Kiffin likes to run.
If they can’t keep the ball and finish, the defense will wear out by the fourth quarter. Second team defensive players are not great.

I think his strength is just more north and south

It is hard to run with people in your face when get the ball.

It’s not “OMG” the season is over bc of run block.
Did y’all think we would average 8 yards a carry every game?
The 33 stack is unique and not common and LA tech runs it very well.
The oline didn’t play or look good bc they weren’t sure or were confused on the front.

Minus his big run, he had 17 carries for something like 20 yards. Thats barely over a yard per carry.

Thats not a RB issue. That’s a blocking issue.

He was limping a bit in the first half.

Don’t think so, tech was giving us fits with that 3-3-5 stack. Plus, those dudes were coming into the holes making hits and filling gaps.

We said this exact same thing last year after the tech game. Turns out we just sucked and peaked with the Clemson game. Not saying that is the case this year, I think our D could be the best in the country, but the offense needs to catch up fast.

Not his fault, they kept running him up the middle.
I kept saying stop running him up the middle

I hear you. But Lane isn’t kelly. Until it becomes a problem I’m gonna have faith in the coaching staff. Also I think it’s clear they thought they were gonna win a certain way last night and every one is thinking about OM.
