This fan base seems weirdly split between the first year let it be no matter or what or first year should be playoffs since it’s NIL and Portal era.

But it is his fault. Kentucky was 5-7 last year and even worse the year before. They made about the same changes as we did, new coach, new staff, portal etc. but spent a heck of a lot less. Will Stein first year and he makes $8.5M less than Kiffin, he spent $20M less in the portal and they outright embarrassed us. So yes, we expect better and people need to stop with “oh it’s his first year” excuse.

That is completely irrelevant in the day and age of NIL. You have a lot of money to go out and get the best players available, that’s not rebuilding, that’s restocking.

Why pay $4 million to a on year rental at LT in Seaton if your ultimate goal is to punt on year 1?
That is the point. “Rebuilding teams” don’t put that amount of money into the roster if you’re just going to go 7-5 or 8-4.

There is no "delusional". You people act like we are losing against the cream of the crop. Ole Miss is going to be 8-4 and Kentucky is going to lose to Oklahoma on the road and then Tennessee and Mizzou on the road for 8-4. We have not played a top 10 team. We haven't even beaten a ranked team.
Stein is a HC who was a 3 year OC and got a team that was literally worse off than LSU's with far less money to throw around, yet he beat Kiffin and did it by missing 2 FGs.
People can miss me with the talent nonsense. This is all on the coaching staff.

You missed the part where he also benefited from the refs…. Including a false start on a 2 pt conversion that would have forced him to kick the extra point. We might still be playing if that didn’t happen.
