No, not really.

Everything about him screams carcinogen.

It's really amazing that all these people on this board who follow recruiting for maybe one week out of the year run off the few good posters with real info on this board and once they are gone wont believe anything that people share on here that is actually true. Listen up folks Zach Evans has signed his papers with UGA. Wanna "Link" or "Proof" ... well that's too damn bad bc unless you are a member of a pay site that has basically written this truth out to its members you dont get to see it. Zach saying LSU is in it is just a flat out lie to make up suspense. Dont wanna believe us then just act totally surprised while watching the all star game. It is over!

Last week another poster said Shea posted LSU has moved on from Evans.

Look hopefully he has signed his LOI with UGA and we dodged a big issue down the road. Look I am not tryin to dog a kid, this kid dogged himself. He was suspended twice this year from his high school team including the “title game.”

Anybody who doesn’t think his issues will continue going forward remember this. Most of the time when you are winning a state title in Texas there are no issues everyone is happy and everyone understands what is going on with the team don’t screw it up.

It is usually when you have expectations that are not being lived up to is when issues with players typically arise. This kid had everything going his way ranked in the top ten all year and his team won a state title and he had major issues??? That might be a landmine we just side stepped! Just sayin

Evan's reminds me of Dee Anderson (who also fought with his coaches IIRC) in his behavior. Guy is going to be trouble for whatever school that gets him.

But he's already signed somewhere. So there aren't any options on the table for him. It's only "somewhat" of a secret to fans as to where he signed.

Is this whole sign-then-announce-later thing common nowadays? Because it seems very odd to me.

If he signs with UGA, does he tell the LSU and aTm coaches that he’s signed elsewhere? I would think he has to tell them since otherwise you would have coaches contacting a player who has already signed an LOI with another team. Also because leading coaches along when you’ve already signed elsewhere would be REALLY chicken shite.

On the other hand, it seems like it would leak immediately.. if nothing else, other RB recruits are going to want to know whether or not Zach Evans is in the recruiting class. I guess that’s what we are seeing now.. but why are people saying it leaked from UGA’s camp?

I dunno, the whole thing is just weird. Either publicly commit in December and sign on ESD, or commit later and sign in February.

We will see when the dead period is up or when the AA game is held whichever comes first I guess...

That’s a good point, I didn’t think about the dead period. Looks like the UA game is on 1/2 and the dead period doesn’t end until 1/16.

But coaches can still call/text/etc. during the dead period. Is it against the rules for coaches to call a recruit who has already signed with another school? Seems like it would be a violation of some sort, but I could be wrong.

Everything about Zach Evans behavior since at least September is chicken shite.

The kid has totally disrespected his coaches multiple times, he’s shown that he doesn’t care one bit about his high school or his teammates, and he’s made his recruitment such a circus that you’ve got fans actually rooting for him to go to the competition bc it’s so obvious that this kid is nothing but a program wide cancer.

I pray that what Shea Dixon said about us moving on from him voluntarily is true. That would be the smart play here.

I’m very thankful for kids like Sampah, Ricks, White, Gilbert and Johnson, etc.

Those kids committed and never wavered, never flirted around, never made further announcements to announce where they would be signing, and never called further attention to themselves. They all could have gone to other elite programs, but they did none of things.

They all acted like their commitment meant something to them. They quietly signed their letters and went back to work.

Those are the kids we need. There’s a lot more to a great player than talent.

Well when his plan always was to sign with his team of choice and then announce at the All Star game, all the reports are that he sent his paperwork to UGA. LSU has Gibbs on the radar and expecting to get an official visit from him. So what do you think the signs point too?

Who was the pudgy goatfricker from Mississippi who pulled that shite and signed with Alabama, basically creating a violation on our part? ETA - Just remember his name, Matt Womack.

Georgia already has his LOI. They have let it slip out and now Evans is trying to deal with making it a surprise for his announcement. Its done ...

They also let it slip out that they have signed Brady to an OC deal!

I’d be willing to make a gentlemen’s bet that Evans doesn’t stay his entire career at Georgia. He will be suspended at least once. Or won’t make the grades at some point.

Kids don’t change overnight. He’s got cancer written all over him.

yep. That's one of the hinkey things about this.

NCAA rules prohibit schools from contacting a player receiving financial aid (FA) OR having signed a LOI [either]. TCU got in trouble for doing just that with our players just a couple years ago.

Here's the fun part:
- you do NOT have to sign a LOI to get FA. FA is only triggered by enrollment.
- however, a LOI MUST be accompanied by FA and the LOI ends the recruiting process.

So he could not sign a LOI, sign FA papers and still be fair game because he is not enrolled yet. If he signed a LOI (and be requirement FA too), he's off limits.

So having 'signed with UGA' means one thing if it was an LOI and another if FA papers only.

The fact that it is fuzzy, unconfirmed, and unspecific as to what exactly he signed, if anything, is concerning. It may just be games... however, it may be games designed to get us in trouble by this illegal contact.

Worth noting: if he signs that LOI (and thus FA) UGA, or whomever he signed with, CAN mention him by name in public forums. He is no longer a recruit when LOI is signed and is now a player.

So, did UGA not confirm signing because they are helping, or his handlers, try and get us in trouble?

Or... did UGA not say anything because he didn't sign a LOI (FA papers only) making him still a recruit, therefore they can't say his name publicly?

ETA:
Or... are he, his brother, and his handlers/entourage just flat out lying about signing anything just because they feel like it? (or he waited too long to take ACT and didn't have scores back in time for ESD and his 'handlers' are embarrassed)
