So there are lots of reports regarding both Brees and Russell Wilson's hand size. Apparently, they both have abnormally large hands. I'm guessing that it makes throwing the ball that much easier, but I'm not sure what else it would be good for. I think that Manziel has large hands too, for a smaller QB.

Does anyone know if Lindsey Scott has abnormally large hands? I'm sure it would help with play action too. He could just tuck the ball into his palm and nobody would know he has it! /s

I'd have to imagine anyone who's only 5-11 would have to have unusually large hands to play qb at the highest levels of college and pros.

Can we please not compare him to a top 5 QB of all time and the pro-bowl MVP. Yall hype these kids up to Monumental expectations then torch them when don't live up to it.

ETA: Kind of a bitch move editing the title. The original thread title was Scott vs Brees/Russell Wilson.

Read what he actually posted.

It's a good question that gets discussed a lot around draft time

Pretty sure he's just asking if anyone knows if the kid has big hands since he's an undersized QB.

Don't know of a link but commentators have mentioned it during game broadcast. Heard recently during a game. They also talk about what a great athlete Brees is as he has done very well at other sports

Okay, I have to chip in. Comparing him to Brees/Wilson is not tantamount to calling him as good as Brees and Wilson. There are absolutely legitimate reasons why the comparisons keep coming up. They are all shortish quarterbacks who have found success passing from the pocket at their respective levels.

To add another layer to this discussion, those are 2 quarterbacks that can absolutely be studied to find the best way to use Scott in a more pro-styled system. Scott can study those guys, Brees especially, to see how to effectively move in the pocket to provide himself with passing lanes.

Jester is right. It would be foolish not to discover what works for similar quarterbacks and attempt to apply it to another.

If this kid is a little on the short side, real smart, and pretty accurate, then sure, compare him to Brees and Wilson, but not from the standpoint of what Scott is NOW, hold Brees and Wilson up as what he CAN BE.

If that's the kind of QB that you think you can have, then develop a plan to get him there one day.

he was comparing his hands, not his ability to play QB. Can you read?

For every decent poster on here there are at least 5 rantards ready to barf on a thread. I don't live on this board, but I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any info regarding the topic I started. The Subject should have said "HAND SIZE" in bold for all of you that can't actually read the body of the text.

Thanks for the legitimate responses, and I'm hoping Scott ends up proving the scouting sites wrong. Geaux Tigers!
