The thought of him getting with Moffitt and being taught by Brick is just frightening.

More frightening is the thought of him playing for Alabama. Anything but that for the next three Novembers.

So HIS DAD is mistaken?

News flash: People don't always say what they mean or mean what they say to reporters.

I have no idea whether he is coming for a visit, or if he does, whether he is seriously considering LSU. Only saying that I wouldn't conclude one way or the other based on what he said to a reporter.

I find particularly interesting the level of professionalism the LSU recruiting staff appears to be handling this opportunity. He is by most all accounts the top dog in the country and has expressed an interest in LSU (at least in the past). Whether he is coming or not I am certain that our recruiters are no stranger to this fellow. The fact that Miles was getting on a plan to make a personal visit was not likely a random road show but the result of many months of courtship. I could be wrong, but that doesn't happen all to often! :)

Regardles of where Clowney ends up (and I hope it works out for him at LSU), kudos to the LSU coaching staff... Great recruiting year!

I like this comment from the video

"LOL. Is this highlight even real life? He looks and plays? like a player that I'd create in Madden. Put this man back on an asteroid and send him orbit to the real planet he came from."

part of me wants to say, "yeah! we have a shot!", and the fact that Miles is such a great closer makes this a little more real.

However, when i take a step back and see a kid making a last minute visit AFTER signing day, it seems more likely to me that LSU is a bit of an after thought, and he's probably more interested in prolonging the attention and benefits that come with being the number one recruit in the nation.

I got no prob with that. He's earned it.

LSU will show him a great time, and for that he'll put an LSU hat on the table when he makes his decision. But in the end when he signs, i think he'll stay home.

AFTER signing day

LSU had a few kids sign after signing day. Mark Roman(96) and Kenderick Allen(98) are two I can think of.

The Youtube highlights for this guy are unbelievable. After you watch those, check out the highlights of Clowney vs. La'El Collins in the Under Armor game. Really makes you appreciate Collins talent, as Clowney was controlled every play Collins was in the game.

The question posed to this kid should be, "you are going to the NFL in three years. Do you want to be a top 5 pick?". Look at the defensive linemen we have put in the NFL. That should be hammered home.

Secondly, the supporting cast will provide more one on one opportunities for him.

Finally, championships. Clemson and USCe won't have them.

But Bama doesn't have the supporting cast on the line. Additionally it seems like every year LSU has a defensive lineman go in the 1st rd. I am not saying Bama doesn't churn out talent, but LSU is quickly becoming Defensive Lineman U.

Yeah bama might but bama isn't in the hunt. It is USC right now with a hope and a prayer for LSU. He has already made his decision between the three schools he said he is considering.

Plus Bama runs a 3-4. This guy is not smart if he chooses to play in a 3-4. Number 1, if he bulks up and plays end, he's just a space eater. I don't think his ego will let him do this. Number 2, if he chooses the 3-4 and plays OLB, has the kid ever turned his hips to cover before.

He is a Julius Peppers, Bowers type 4-3 rush end. The logical choices are Clemson or USCe IMO.

jesus christ. It's like Chad Lavalais, Glenn Dorsey, Patrick Peterson, LaRon Landry, Ali Highsmtih, and Chad Jones all packed into one.

We're allowed 23 by our self-imposed penalty.

Dear Jesus

Watched most of the highlight video. No one can block this guy and he's a 6 foot 6 260 lb RB/DE? WTF?

I wish I didn't see that because now I'm going to be depressed if he doesn't come here
