So I see that Sam Spiegelman says that it’s gonna be USC and that it’s a two man race between them and Oregon

Then I see from ESPN and ON3 that it’s a LSU/OSU battle and that LSU is currently the favorite

I’m more on the side for us for obvious reasons but also Sam Spiegelman just really isn’t a expert that shouldn’t be listened to rn bc I remember a big time running back was CB’d to Oregon and he ended up going to Bama

Sam would probably know before ESPN or On3

Not encouraging. Both west coast schools have a lot of money.

This could also be 11th hour tactics to drive up the number. Bryce played the game. Pickett is probably playing the game. Is what it is.

I think he is going to regret going to USC. I would understand more if he went to Oregon. The thing is, the kids are probably going to all come home after their careers. That is a lot smoother when you are a local legend and not the guy who went to Oregon or USC. Moves like these always seem short-sighted.

He wants the money and is looking for whoever will pay the most.

It won’t be LSU, nor should it be.

If that is the case he needs to be educated on Cost of Living and California taxes.

These type of recruitments never end with the player at LSU

They don’t worry about that stuff. You could sit him down and show him and his parents on paper that it will likely cost 40% more to live in Socal, but all they will see is that USC is offering 2 million while LSU is “only” offering 1.3 million. They only care about the big number, not everything else, because most of them are not bright enough to figure that out.

That will depend on where he lists his residence and where the "work" is performed for his NIL revenue. As I understand it, work done for a California based company is subject to state taxes if you either do the work in the state of California or if you are a resident of California regardless of where the work is done. So if he maintains his Louisiana residency (easy for a student to do) and his NIL is based on signing autographs at a resort in Vegas owned by a Nevada-based company he would not be subject to state income taxes in Cali or Nevada (no state income tax) but only Louisiana. But I'm sure California has some way of squeezing those taxes out in that case.

Had a flight from Dallas to New Orleans last night and Jahkeem was on it with all Oregon gear on. Dunno if that means anything or not, but yea.

Hasn't Stewart only played 11 games of football in high school? Thought I read that some where.

Whoever it is now will change.

I said from the beginning I think it would be usc.

Someone on here said it has been a done deal.

I'm thinking usc/Oregon.

Jeez, just end the recruiting process and have eBay style auctions. Send a few brochures, make a few phone calls then let the bidding begin.

I couldn’t care less about a Louisiana 5 star as I do with Stewart. He has been pimped and shopped since junior high all while playing the equivalent of 1 high school season. If he comes here great, more often than not those type of mercenaries don’t work out.

‘’There is a strong sense that Bryce Underwood will sign with LSU in a few weeks," Rivals' national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman reported on Monday. "After returning to Baton Rouge this weekend, the expectations is that Underwood will be a Tiger."

We need to get our $$$ up of simply move on from these kids. Losing bidding wars is not a good look for the program.
