I'd be really skeptical. A unified locker room is pretty damn important.

Team chemistry is an important part of being successful. It's already hard to have a cohesive TEAM even with a lot of good guys on it. Personalities are hard to manage, cliques can arise, it's just not an easy thing to manage (which means the coaching staff should get a ton of credit for this season).

Voluntarily adding a chaotic element to the team chemistry could have big negative effects. He has to be off the charts talented for the tradeoff to be worth it.

He could also be a guy that needs constant babysitting, which takes focus away from the coaches and hurts the players who are actually trying to get better. Overall hurting the team despite bringing a ton of talent.

I won't be upset if we get him, I just hope the coaching staff has a plan in place to manage him.

No, but I won't be bothered at all if we don't.

No. He's a good player. Maybe he will mature some when he gets to college. He's worth taking a chance on.

I'd rather have Evan's here than have to face him at A&M for 3 years...

I think he'd be gone after a year.

2 things can happen.

1. He can keep being a diva(my opinion, not fact) and eventually be run off.

2. learn from his mistakes and become a team player. listen and learn.

The coaches have to determine which is happening.

Upset? No.

Personally, I probably would pass if I had another great option who wanted in, but I'd assume before the ink hits the paper, Coach O will:

1. Make 100% sure Evans is qualified. If he's not, no deal.
2. Lay down the law with Evans. A man-to-man convo where you tell him "this is how we do things at LSU, and here's what's required of you...".
3. Go over the depth chart with him, and let him know while he certainly can compete for snaps, they won't be given to him just because he's Evans.

If he's not on board with this, he can sign with another school. If he is, welcome.

His mindset is what matters to me. It sounds like we’re going to keep Emery, TDP, and Curry next year. He would have to come in and accept that he will have to earn his PT and not give any attitude if he doesn’t receive any. If he can’t accept that, then I don’t want him to poison the locker room

I do not want Evans in our locker room. I did, but after reading more about him and monitoring this recruiting situation, I feel like all of the concerns brought up early in the process regarding his character are legitimate.

He seems like a bad apple.

Also, I'll bet $20 that Evans doesn't finish at the same program he starts at.

Unless something changes drastically (which who the hell knows with this recruitment it very well may) Evans will be at A&M.

Who knows? Maybe he's a kid a true role model/strong male mentor could straighten up and be made to realize what's at stake, for him.

I get that he is a head case, but you can’t deny his talent. Maybe he come here and under Coach O and the leadership that we have building he gets it together. It can go the other way as well that he is a cancer in the locker room and doesn’t fulfill his academic duties. I get that we can get another back, but if we do get him we will just have to trust the Coaching staff.

Not upset, but apprehensive. We don’t need another Jeremy Hill situation, because O won’t put up with that shite like Miles did. Evans would be gone if he fricks up like that more than once. It’s just a risk unless the kid finally gets his head on straight.

Shea said 2 weeks ago the coaches have moved on from Evans. Clearly that hasn't changed considering he CBed him to A&M.
