I would hardly consider Shaq a “polarizing” figure. His personality is certainly bigger than life, but he doesn’t divide people in opposite spectrums. You would be hard pressed to find any LSU fan that could say anything less than positive things about Shaq.

No he isn’t you dumbass

J Russell is a polarizing figure because well there’s a retarded segment of our fan base that hates him, same with Simmons

Shaq has done a lot for the school and is generally very well liked

I would think it should be Shareef's decision, though he may seek input from Shaq.

I suppose LSU would make room for him if he wants in the 2018 class.

I agree with you. Son is a hell of a talent but his dad is one of the all time greats. Most in that position would choose to go their own path

None of those players were anything like Shaq. I never said he was the best to ever play. I meant that there has literally never been another player of Shaq's style and power to grace the NBA.

All of those guys you mentioned did not have the power and style of Shaq, not even close.

I would go further to say in the prime of Shaq’s career, he may have been the most dominant player in NBA history.

Wilt averaged 50 and 25 in a season.

I completely agree with you. In their primes, Wilt and Kareem were transcendent, but Shaq wouldve dominated the if they’d played each other. He is and was a physical specimen that still hasn’t been equaled.

The NBA Changed its rules on playing zone defense because of Shaq. No one else in NBA history has had rules changed because of him

So? Wilt wasn't a time traveler. All he could do is dominate his era. Also Bill Russell, Bob Pettit, and Willis Reed were his contemporaries, not just some scrubs.

I don’t think you know what “polarizing” means.

Never saw Wilt. I was in college when he played in the pro’s. And before you yougsters start with different styles, players blah blah blah bullshite, go watch him and Bill russell play.
Wilt could run the court, had great hands and feet and could flat out finish.
He was EXACTLY how Shaq played.

I remember when you couldn’t dunk in the NCAA...
Also there’s all those walks that Jordan got away with.
The only thing changed we’re back a Shaq because he couldn’t shoot free throws. They should have done it in the early 70’s with Wilt. The reason why not? Television. There wasn’t the same number of games being jammed into one day. The game was slow enough and they didn’t want to slow it down any further.
But just to be clear and point out your total lack of NBA History, here are ALL the players that caused rule changes:

Shaq got whipped by a smaller and older Dream regularly. Hell, Yao gave him fits as didna smaller Rodman in their prime.

Wilt was 275-280 WITHOUT THE DIET AND SUPPLEMENTS OF TODAY AND HE could jump out of the gym besides being extremely strong.
You cannot possibly know any bullshite your saying.
Go watch games when Rodman was on Shaq. Shaq hated playing him. He also said that Dream schooled him.

I LOVE Shaq and have nothing but the utmost respect for him and what he has accomplished from his education, generosity, larger than life personality and giving back to LSU.

Well no shite, but that's the problem with comparing players from different eras. Chamberlain never played against somebody that matched him physically and his stats are skewed by the fact that averaged 45.8 minutes per game and often played a full 48 minutes.

And for what it's worth, Shaq dominate the Dream.
