To be honest, if he chooses Miami then so be it. After the LC situation last year, I gave up worrying about what recruits say. One person is not bigger than the program and if he decides to go to Miami then he will regret the decision but the show must go on.

Campbell was selected 50th overall in the 2nd round of the 2008 draft by the Arizona Cardinals.

He knows that his family and friends will be able to get a seat at Miami games. Did you see the stands last week?

I doubt he ends up there but I don't see how Miami offers one single advantage to LSU. If he were talking about Fla St I could at least see some of the appeal.

You want to what's best for you and your family? By going so far away they can't watch you, to play for a school on sanctions, in a shite conference in front of an empty stadium? Sounds perfectly logical to me.

Right on. that about sums it up. that is why rantards wonder why this kid is even considering Miami. He has legitimate shot of being a great force at LSU with big ticket NFL possibilities down the road. Now if he were chosing another SEC powerhouse instead well that would be understandable to a certain extent. Lsu offers SEC. National TV exposure, coaching staff. NCG exposure. Oh well it is his call after all but---????

the kid is just looking around. if he looked at bama or aubie you would be griping about that. if he looked at a&m you would be making fun of them. let the kid have some fun and look around. he will be a LSU tiger in the end.

Academically [US News], Miami is a better school. Is Williams a really bright student seeking a degree in some academic area that is a strength to Miami and not so strong at LSU?

If its just about football; makes no sense. LSU would have had 88,000 + for a Bethune Cookman game and we should aim for a sell out for Townsen.

How the hell do you know that? Are you Tim Williams?

What I was trying to say before you came on the attack is that he will regret the decision bc Miami is inferior to LSU and there will be sanctions...plus our track record of putting D-Lineman in the NFL is second to none...So as I state again, he will regret not coming to LSU

The U is not the U any longer. I am pretty certain a program that sucks as bad as Miami cannot be referred to as the U. These recruits can stop this nonsense calling this crappy program the U. Les Miles ended the U. Their fans looked really hyped up for football.

what you are saying is you are an LSU fan. LSU has a better team than Miami at the moment. Things can and do change rapidly. Possible sanctions could mean a loss of scholarships and maybe a bowl ban, but those are typically not for more than a couple of years. Miami has put plenty of defensive players in the NFL. If all recruits viewed this they way you are, LSU would still be a a crap program like the 90's. How many first round DL did we produce before Hill and Spears signed on in 2001? Its Miami, maybe they will not be the U again, but a talented player will still get drafted high. If he would be a first rounder at LSU, he'd be a first rounder at Miami.

Not all coaching staffs develop players equally. Stop thinking in black and white. LSU/Chavis can get defensive guys to the league. LSU has proven that it's current coaching staff can develop you into a big time player. Miami is garbage.

For some reason he can't stand that some LSU fans actually think LSU has a better program than other schools. He consistently knights for Clemson and Texas, and I guess now you can add Miami.

This is an LSU board, obviously people are going to hype the merits of LSU and inflate the negatives of other schools. And right now, when you compare LSU to Miami, LSU is objectively better in every way.
