How the hell do you know that? Are you Tim Williams?

I'm sure it would really suck to go to Miami, what an ugly campus and location.

There's more to life than playing the SEC. It still amazes me that LSU fans think a team will always be where they are at this moment. Maybe Miami gets hammered by the NCAA, that didn't really affect USC. Let the kid go where he wants for what ever reason he wants.

GTFO with that. Miami is a terrible place to play football right now. There is no way in hell anyone would pick Miami over LSU at this time. It would be the worst mistake in their life.

well to be fair, apparently standish dobard has.

Maybe he wants to party with Haitians in south florida. Can't see it being a football decision.

To be honest, if he chooses Miami then so be it. After the LC situation last year, I gave up worrying about what recruits say. One person is not bigger than the program and if he decides to go to Miami then he will regret the decision but the show must go on.

This Fricking This!

Who cares if TW ends up at 'The Who'....If he wants to go somewhere with pending sanctions let him GO! LSU will just continue to shine OVER HERE!

That's not true, I don't like blind homerism, and I'm obviously not very good at getting the point I'm trying to make across. I'm not the one seeing it in black and white. Yes LSU has a better team/program than Miami right now (didn't miami have a better program when M Hill picked LSU over them in 2001?) and it will probably be the case for the foreseeable future. But that doesn't mean players at "lesser" programs, espeically major ones, like Miami, will have a lesser chance at making the NFL. Just look at the NFL and how many guys, even star players that are from non BCS conferences. More guys from LSU or Alabama will go the NFL, but that doesn't mean they will all be better than players from other schools. Sorry, if you think going to a non SEC will hurt someone's chances of going to the NFL you are just wrong and being a homer.

While coaching and deveolpement play a role, talent is the bigger factor. LSU's staff is probably better than Miami's at the moment, but its not like the Miami guys are not capable of deveolping players. If a player is talented enough, he will get noticed and drafted. Of all the DLmen LSU has sent to the league lately are any better than JJP from So Fla? D Ware from Troy? JJ Watt from Wisconsin? M Williams from NC State? Frankly pro coaching will be even more important.

Where he goes to college is Tim Williams decision and if he decides to go somewhere other than LSU, for LSU fans to say he will regret it just sounds like sour grapes. Regret is personal and there's a lot more to this decision than just how many football games he might win in college. I'm sure he wants to win, but also probably thinks where ever he goes they will. He looks like a great talent that would be perfect at LSU, hopefully we get him, but if he goes else where, if he is as good as he looks, he'll be just fine and so will LSU.

Just an example to the lesser program and the NFL. Arguably the best NFL player from LSU the last 20-25 years is Alan Faneca, a borderline HOF player, was recruited by Curley Hallman and played under him and DiNardo. Clearly Saban and Miles are better coaches and better developers of talent but have either had an OLman do as well at the next level?

True, but there are 3 DL in the NFL from Temple, that played all of or were recruited there by Al Golden. Temple does not have near the resources that a Miami does, if he can get guys to the NFL from Temple, he can from Miami, that's all I'm saying. And maybe he wants to go off to school rather than stay in the same neighbor hood he grew up in and Miami is a good school, a part from the football team and an exotic sounding city.

You couldn't be MORE correct.

This kid constantly goes on the rag, the second you bring up Clemson, or anything ACC/Suck related.

It's funny that you see it, because I see it too. It's like he wages some sway/propaganda war for Climpson, but to no avail, since no one frickin cares.

whats funny is that simply not true. You guys just don't want to see any opinion outside of your little RB circle jerk I'm not "knighting" for Clemson, the only time they've come up is regarding Nkemdiche. I'm just arguing against an extreme black and white position that teams like Clemson are garbage because they are not elite. Clemson is a good, not elite mind you, but usually has a winning (ie better than .500) type team. They are in a BCS conference and send guys to the NFL (over 20 right now). Those are all facts. They will often creep into the back end of the top 10 and then suffer some embarassing loss, their current coach is a goober, so they are easy to make fun of. They did make it to a BCS bowl last year, only to suffer a typical Clemson embarassing loss. All that said, if RN is as good as he's supposed to be, going to Clemson will not hurt his chances of being drafted high. He might not win a NC or play in a bowl better than the Chick Fil A bowl, but he can still get drafted high and if he enjoys Clemson, that's really all that matters.

Wow....way to make a broad statement there. 45% of all 119 teams have an above .500 team. Sheesh.

I don't know and could care less.If a player doesn't bleed Purple and Gold then let them go where they feel they will be happy.Fans need to concern themselves with the kids that you don't have to beg to come to LSU.If you don't bleed Purple and Gold, stay away.

BigEd, and great post. I'm in a business that bids as well. I want to give a good and fair price but more than that I want the customer to feel comfortable letting me into their homes and let my reputation of quality work win the bid.

You guys are overreacting for no reason. Williams will be at LSU.

well I didn't want to be too much of a Clemson homer

They are typically an 8-4 type team with the occasional 9-3 or 7-5 season. All I've really said about them is they can get guys to the NFL and could at least in theory do better. I still find it mind blowing that so many LSU fans seem to think all programs will remain as they are and can never improve or step up in class. Maybe some of you are too young to really remember where LSU was in the 90's. But anything you can say about Clemson now was said about LSU before and if we can rise to elite status, Clemson could at least catch lightening in a bottle and have a special season. I don't know why that is so controversial and gets me labeled a Clemson knight.
In any event, the kids signing there don't think about it like you, they probably think they will win big there and even if its always same ole Clemson, if the kids going there like and get drafted, who are we to say RN made a mistake because he could have gone some where that won more games?

Not all coaching staffs develop players equally. Stop thinking in black and white. LSU/Chavis can get defensive guys to the league. LSU has proven that it's current coaching staff can develop you into a big time player. Miami is garbage.

The irony here is you guys are seeing it in black and white. Of course Chavis and the LSU staff have gotten tons of guys to the pros. That's a huge plus for LSU. That's does not mean the Miami staff can not. That staff is only in their 2nd year so comparing past Miami drafts or lack there of to less is meaningless since that was different coaches. We don't know if Golden will be a good coach but he won 9 and 8 games at Temple, a program so bad they got kicked out of the Big East.

I'm not saying he can get better or equal coaching at Miami, just that he can get coaching good enough to go the pros. Its his decision and not your place to say it will be a mistake or something he will regret, if he goes to a team that admittedly looks like a dumpster fire and not your favorite team.

In short if he wants to go, good for him. Given our superior coaching and development, I'm sure we will find some one else to come in and do just as well. Let Williams make his own decision without ripping him if he goes somewhere else.

Hill picked us over Michigan. Spears and Clayton seriously considered FSU and Miami however. Oh and that logic is irrelevant because we had Saint Saban as a coach, and all high school players should just bow down and play for him no matter what!

If this is true (which i have no idea), then you are saying he is not an LSU fan? Why would he come here then? He wouldn't.
