lsu would have been offered if they had known of his talent, but louisiana doesnt offer much exposure as the bigger states

He is an in state kid. According to Rivals, Bama has offered him, LSU has not. If LSU is relying on recruiting services for Louisiana kids and Alabama is offering Louisiana kids that we are not, then something is very wrong.

Dylan Moses was never coming to LSU, in my opinion. From 8th grade on. But, losing on Allen and players like that to Alabama really hurts.

During a game early in the season, the Alabama impact players were listed - you know how they list the "players to watch for" in a game? 4 our of 5, I think, were from Louisiana - or 3 out of 4 or something. Not only is Alabama getting who they want from Louisiana, but those players start and are significant contributors to Alabama's teams.

The wall is down in Louisiana and Saban gets who he wants. That is now the reality, unfortunately. Orgeron has to turn that around.

that's not how recruiting works. you have limited time and resources. It involves more than just offering a kid a scholly. you have to put time into him and sell him your program and maintain that relationship.

This is true, and Bama spends a lot more money on recruiting.

for example, #1 player in the country Najee Harris, according to 247 doesn't have an lsu offer? committed to bama, probably a USC/Bama race, but why not offer all the top prospects you can?

Well we only get 35 prospects and 25 commitments each year.... oh wait thats on NCAA 14

The last figures I saw had Bama's recruiting budget over 1 million and LSU's in the mid 300 hundred thousands. LSU has the same amount of coaches but less than half of the support staff.

Absolute truth. Bama's admin staff is immense and cannot be matched at the moment

Dude, we have the #5 class in the country with about 8 spots to go. We don't offer everybody, because some kids tell us that they have no interest in LSU. Your post is shallow. We go after top talent through-out the South and selectively nationally.

True! It's not even close as to how much he is needed in this class!

you don't ask the homecoming queen to the prom without first putting some feelers out to see if there is any chance she is interested.

Doesn't the LSU football program make enough money to carry a bigger recruiting budget than what it currently has?
