but we badly need dbs

We have 5 DBs committed, and still looking for more. Not sure why you’re concerned with this

We have 2 committed, including our a top 50 guy. By all accounts we lead for an in-state 5 star.

QB

Only legitimate concern. We need to take a QB this cycle, whether it’s a highly rated guy or more of a developmental guy.

Get Jackson and we're solid at DB. Toviano would be gravy. Brown and Sampson is a sick duo at WR if it happens. Not sure why anyone is whining.

May be too early to say, but I really feel like Brown and Sampson are a repeat of Chase and Marshall. So excited about this duo. QB will have nothing to complain about if we land these guys.

If people legit can't see the momentum being built for what is right now a top ten class with Heard and Sampson and a few more top guys strongly forecasted to come here then I don't know what to say. Kelly and staff are doing a fantastic job. Look at the CBs we got just this morning. No matter how badly some people are pulling for failure, Kelly and staff are doing a fantastic job

Same people are always complaining. I just learn to tune them out.

What exactly are you expecting? Currently, LSU has 2 running backs committed, 2 WR committed, 5 secondary players committed, with 1 WR and 1 DB getting crystal balls to LSU in the last 24 hours. What exactly would make you happy?

guys like Arch and Eli were never coming here regardless of what this staff could pull off

Its been pretty obvious that the Mannings don’t have any love for LSU & that a Manning wont ever play for LSU.

HOWEVER
LSU offered Holstein as a sophomore b4 they ever saw him play a game at Zachary High.
Considering both Holstein’s parents went to LSU & his dad played RB at LSU in the 90’s so why exactly does everyone keep repeating the mantra that he was NEVER even considering coming to LSU?

Not to drag up old stuff because what’s done is done, but as good as the ‘19 title was, Orgeron left the program equally destroyed by the time he left. I don’t think people understand that it was way worse than just losing games. The foundations and cultures of the entire football department was cratering and eroding. I believe a lot of these in-state guys this cycle that are leaving soured on LSU as a whole under O and developed relationships with other schools. Kelly and company have tried to play catch up and did well in at least giving LSU a fighting chance but those relationships with other programs were a bit too much to overcome. That and the Walker angle is something people talk about a lot. Either way, I feel strongly that LSU is going to do okay in state this year when the dust settles and next year and onward, they’ll do really really well in state.

From what I've read on here, he wasn't going to sit behind Howard again. Who knows if that's true.

People on here will focus on Howard, but he likely just does not want to end up in a crowded QB room. I think he will eventually de-commit from Bama at some point before signing day.

They’ve already got the #7 receiver committed, and Sampson (#4) will commit as well. Walker Howard was arguably the #1 QB last cycle prior to his injury, so QB isn’t a huge need this cycle, though I would say you should sign one every class, and I think they will sign one this class. But Howard gives you some wiggle room.
