What’s up with LSU’s recruiting pipeline, Lafayette Christian? 1 and 3

And fired their head coach.

Ju’Juan Johnson was basically their whole team last year.

I wonder if Trev will come back as HC? Last I recall he was in administration at the school after leaving the HC post? Sure he was vital to talent acquisition?

Trev left, LCA made a bad coaching hire, things came to a head after the last game due to the unauthorized firing of an assistant, and LCA (very likely Pastor Jay Miller) decided to move on sooner rather than later.

adding to what MD said above, Trev is coaching at Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy which is only 3 yrs old. They will be the next dominate HS football team from Lafayette in 1-2 years. 90 kids on the roster as 11 are Sr's and 14 are Jr's. They will become the new LCA, as they have the coaching, and talent, just a matter of time. Both schools play one another on 10/11/24 as it should be interesting.

I’m sure they’ll have a few good years before sizzling out eventually. Acadiana, meanwhile, has been consistently competing for titles the last 20 years. Thats the difference between a football factory hinging on a few people and a good program with a solid foundation.

Easier to have a good foundation with 1,600ish kids
If LCA wanted to impress me they’d get in that class 5A district like John Curtis and Evangel have done as similar type of schools… instead they’ve changed coaches and have district games soon against Lake Arthur and Welsh

Plus you don't have to pay to go there so more they can get more kids

Yep, Acadiana and STM have always been consistently dominant. Lafayette has a shite ton of high schools now but these two will always be on top.

From what I understand Trev is the director of football operations now for Renaissance academy and former head coach at LCA is now at Renaissance academy (Hunter Landry). It will pretty much become the dynasty school around Lafayette. They will probably make a run this year. Already 4-0.

Not many schools would have many wins against the schedule they’ve faced

But can LR get the kids from outside Lafayette that LCA gets?
