Dude has the physical skill set to be an Isaiah Simmons type linebacker. Someone I'd consider more of a Swiss army knife than a typical tweener.

I meant a tweener more in terms of how they used him last year. He obviously wasn’t quite ready to be a full-time LB yet and he was a bit small for the specific role they gave him. Yet he was still effective at it. He definitely has talent if he can put it all together.

I’m all for second chances I just don’t think this warrants it

What makes you say that this situation doesn’t warrant it? Do you have inside information on anything anyone else doesn’t know?
If it’s just that he may get in trouble and be suspended, and transferred, I can tell you that there was more to it than that.

Nobody ever had the option to leave, play immediately, and not lose a year of eligibility before.
If he doesn’t count to 2021’s numbers, taking him back if for no other reason than to add depth, is a no brainer.

We need bodies to fill out the roster and a former 5 star prospect who definitely flashed a few times as a freshman should be welcomed back with open arms.

They do need bodies but just take a freshman. Not some one you can’t count on

Who cares what you want. He played well as a freshman. I’m not really into taking players back after they quit on their team but under the circumstances LSU might have to take a different route?
