Does anyone know anything about the plan?
Nope

Is LSU going to roll with who is there now?
Nope

any nonspeculative hints as to who the targets might be?
Nope
But given how this staff has done with every other position in the portal this year, it’s a pretty safe bet they will grab a couple safeties out of the portal as well.

Every year in BK era we have a hole or two that is below average.
Name a team that doesn’t have that.

I’m not trying to be a dick. It’s just hard to trust who we put on the field during the last few years. Player roster has been underwhelming overall. There have been some bright spots but not overall.
He’s recruiting and handling personnel better than our last head coach did. Thats just a demonstrable fact.

I didn’t really see a WR1 or a RB1 this past year. I think one will emerge in that area. Could you agree?
I’ll give you WR, but there definitely wasn’t a lack of talent or depth. Lacy didn’t fully step up into that role as hoped. Anderson vastly exceeded expectations, but doesn’t have the frame to be a true SEC WR1. Parker is extremely solid for a true freshman. Hilton maybe could have been if not for the injuries. Daniels wasn’t dynamic enough. But there was certainly enough talent there to be effective. Injuries to Hilton, Daniels and Parker were a big setback.
RB1- are you serious? Durham is the best back we’ve had in a while here. Even with the injury and OL issues, he still showed he has the speed, vision and versatility to be a star RB. He also had the quickness to the hole needed to make the plays we ran work. Unfortunately, that quickness suffered a bit after the injury.
Durham just needs to get healthy, get some better and more consistent run blocking, and more creativity in run calls. He’s 100% a RB1, and as much as I appreciate Josh Williams, he will have more talented depth behind him next season.
As for the DL, Swinson and Jones feasted on passing QBs and one-dimensional offenses. Where we struggled was against QBs they couldn’t attack because of the threat of the run. Or they would attack and Penn and the Safeties couldn’t do their jobs and allowed big plays. Fixing the secondary and upgrading over Penn’s lack of athleticism, which we all see is being addressed in a big way, will go a long way toward helping the DEs make plays and better contain mobile QBs.

Is there any thought that the plan needs to stay silent or it gets squashed? How many times has that happened and this board melts?

Yeah, thankfully Georgia doesn't have a hole on our roster at any position that would absolutely be an embarrassment in a bowl game. Oh, please don't count our LT who played like absolute shite with matador blocking in our bowl game.

What a pussy arse post, be you thought this was cute when you thought of it.

If it was merely a concept of a plan, then we all should worry.

I'm not worried. Not really. LSU's safeties played terribly all season. Easily the worst position group on the team. Everyone knows that. Right? Certainly, Kelly and Company know that too. They saw the practices. They saw the games. They know what they have, and they know what they need. Right?
I do have a concern. Safeties coach. Play on the field is crap and we dont seem to be attracting any. Raymond is not the Safeties coach, Jake Olsen is.

Yeah I feel the same way- whistling past the graveyard, checking tRant and this board 2-3 x a day, “surely there will be some good news soon?”, nervously scrolling thru the signing glass, wondering if any of those 3 frosh safety signees can be thrown in the fire, wondering if Keylan Moses can play safety, or if Jujuan Johnson can be moved again ….

You’re the asshat who shits on other users when they have valid criticism of Kelly as a coach. We get it: you’re a BK homer through and through and you’re in love with him. But quit shitting on others just because they have a different opinion of BK as a coach.

Let’s see what he can do with guys that he and this defensive staff bring in before we send him packing. That’s the downside of bringing in an entirely new defensive staff after recruiting and the first portal window.
