Your not going to sign multiple top qbs in one class so I'm not sure this is the take.

Kelly did everything right. Built a relationship over a couple years, brought him to almost every home game this year. Had a (by LSU standards) robust NIL package in place. shite, BU was recruiting for us for a while there.

In this new era of recruiting, you can do everything right, have a kid 100% locked in, and still lose them in the 11th hour.

We need Jen Hale to ask for a high school quarterback for Christmas next year.

Better question is what did the LSU fanbase (and boosters) learn.

In case wasn't already clear, this is what we're up against.

You aren't getting two top QB’s to commit in one class. He swung for the fences, had the kid committed and got money whipped at the end. It will happen a lot to a lot of different teams in the coming years.

Maybe not, but you should keep the lines of communication open with others. Especially when you’re recruiting such a highly sought after player from a state like Michigan.

LOL - you shoot for the best - if they go elsewhere you move on. A kid from Michigan chose Michigan and $12 million? What else could be done besides break the bank?

Underwood screwed LSU out of a couple years of QB recruiting. Either stick with your recruitment or open it up and name your terms. We could’ve been recruiting others instead which is the frustrating part about it all.

I hope he learned to find a billionaire in his 80's that will do anything to keep young pussy in his life.

you’re not going to get 2 great eggs to sit in a basket together.

So, nothing then?

BTW, I’m trying to be positive here. Sometimes things like this happen, but if you learn from it and don’t make the same mistake, it will help in the future to plan for things like that
