We need to get as many top defensive players we can get in this class and portal

Our defense played soft and the Aggies pushed them around all night. I hope we go all out for the best defensive players we can get because we are going to need them next year.

People keep acting like the d line is stacked.
Lsu is going to have to hit the portal hard at all 3 levels.

Now we have to deal with other schools going all out on NIL to players we want and we are not on that same level with them.

Injuries on defense killed us tonight. It's one reason House didn't adjust to committing to shutting the run game down because Sage Ryan is burnt toast no matter where he is on the field. He was trying to give him help and when he didn't LSU got toasted. We need at least 2 elite DB players in the portal but probably more. Need an elite RB too. If JD comes back next year whoever is behind C is going to rake yards up because defenses are so keyed in on his run ability it makes RBs look even better.
If Converse was in this game LSU would've committed to stacking the box. That was a huge loss. TE, RB, multiple DBs, DL, and possibly a LB. That's what we need in portal with DB being priority.

D Line needs to be addressed in portal Along with RB CB and a QB if Daniels is out

Where is JD going? He sure as hell isn’t going to the NFL. He should be moved to RB and QB in situational downs. There is still a place for him, just not QB. He’s a 5th year senior that still can not read a defense.

LB

This incoming freshman class will address a lot of things, but we absolutely need two really good corners to pair with a hopefully healthy Sevyn Banks, and go heavy on DL, TE, safety. Our roster warts have been exposed this season but winning 9 games covered some of them up. They’re still there though.

Common sense says we, just like every team, has holes to fill. So far Kelly has been good at filling the spots like last recruiting and portal cycles. He knows this roster better than we do.

Definitely need an elite RB. Injuries and no dominant runner outside of Daniels is a huge problem for the running game. Josh Williams looks great, but I'd rather him as the #2 and Goodwin as the change of pace
