The simple answer is just to give Elon Musk an honorary degree, and find a way to gravitate him towards LSU.

Good point... Correct.

Todd Graves gives plenty to LSU. Why does everyone think it’s his (and Gordon’s) responsibility to fund LSU? Did any of you write a check to LSU with a couple of zeros on it? I’m betting most haven’t.

We need more billionaires, what about Gayle?

Canes is a national brand. When I go to the one in Mobile, AL I see University of South Alabama stuff advertised on the inside. They do their best to appeal to each local community.
That being said don’t think for one second he isn’t doing stuff for LSU behind the scenes. You just won’t hear about it.
I think the Bryce Underwood situation was as much, if not more, about not bringing in a kid making that much for culture purposes as it was about getting outbid.

Todd Graves has restaurants everywhere. If he's completely in with LSU, it isn't going to help the businesses he has in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, etc. From what I can tell, he supports all the different local teams to some extent. Makes sense. This is why he is a successful business man!! Makes good decisions and doesnt waste money on teenage kids who only care about the nil money and not the school!,, very little ROi on them,,

Most of them aren’t “super rich”. We are talking about multi billionaires not multi millionaires. The difference between those two is like the difference between someone making minimum wage and someone with a million dollars.

Todd Graves doesn’t give a crap about LSU. He’s a money grubber that has proven to be a typical billionaire. Continue to cut quality to make more money.
His deity status to some is just stupid.

Todd Graves has a treehouse in his backyard that is probably worth hundreds of thousands of dollars... He also spent $30k on jello shots in Omaha just for fun.

I find it interesting that a very wealthy man chooses to live in BR, when he can live anywhere in the world. All I read on here is how it is such a trash heap of a city.

True.... and that's because they do stupid shite!!!! If they were smart then they would be super rich.

Maybe he is either not interested or does not want to give his money to spoiled kids

Hes a billionaire on paper...that doesnt mean he has $1 billion dollars in his checking account or even in all of his investment portfolios.
I would assume he probably has 100-200mil somewhat available relatively quick

Todd bought 20k Jello shots just cuz he could. I don't think wasting money on college BS is beneath him.

Graves is also a huge basketball supporter, see him all the time at his floor seats in front of the student section.

He uses the LSU name and athletes and former athletes to further his brand but yet can’t throw LSU a bone.

In the case of Larry Ellison, his 5th and current wife just happens to be a Michigan alumna. That was all the connection needed there

This fail as much as anyone. But when they have a money printing biz like Cane's, it doesn't matter.
He could spend 10M per year and never ever ever notice it
