We don't need a bunch of five stars to make our secondary the best in the country

I'll take a secondary full of smart high Louisiana, southern four stars any day over five stars from up north the Midwest and out west. They just breed football players different in the south especially Louisiana

Yup. That’s exactly why we’re playing in the playoffs this year… oh wait.

Tell this to Bama with 5*All American freshmen safety Caleb Downs .

You need elite players to win, period

Yup, you’ll hear everything in the book about how our class is actually really good and that stars don’t matter! Spin it however y’all want, this class is underwhelming and average

You seem to have missed his point completely. Our secondary was filled with out of state kids like Duce Chestnut, JK Johnson, Denver Harris. Our Louisiana kids were transfers from small Louisiana colleges and some true freshmen. Give those freshmen time to grow up and watch. We always had lower ranked secondaries than Bama, but it was a rare year theirs was as good as ours…until Orgeron fricked it all up.

We signed three 3* CBs, two from Nola.
One of those is bound to be a dawg

In fairness we have 5 star Denver Harris who couldn’t get PT and 5 star Sage Ryan who looked pretty bad.

We signed three 3* CB this cycle. I'm not even saying they can't develop, but we need immediate impact guys and 160 lb 3* aren't likely to be it.

You guys and your revisionist history. Not long ago our secondary classes were rated MUCH higher than Bamas and played like it.

Denver Harris is a nut case. Sage Ryan never developed. We have low ranked dbs from Louisiana in quite a few of our last classes. Yet Bama is in the playoffs and we’re here looking for some of the worst moral victories I’ve ever seen.

The point wasn’t missed. The point was ignored because it’s a coping method by the OP while our secondary is being dwarfed in skill and ranking compared to Bama and Georgia. Look at their success over the past few seasons. Look at ours.

You’re right. Tre White, Patrick Peterson, Grant Delpit, Jamal Adams, Derrick Stingley, etc. were all lowly rated local recruits. They weren’t all top 100 high 4 or 5 star recruits that made LSU DBU. It was the 3 stars.

How much film have you watched on LSU’s signees?

What if LSU lands McKinley and Bussey? Would the class be average then?
