99% of high school QBs are projects

Go look at the top five ranked pro and dual threat QBs the last 7 or 8 years and see how many names were or are good quality qbs during their college careers. It’s very very few.... It’s an extremely hard thing to predict... They are all projects...

I don’t understand the fascination with moving on from one or both of our QB commits. Both are 4 star players who have strong offer lists despite committing early. Both will need time to develop, but guess what, most young QBs do. And we have Brennan and Parish who were also solid prospects that should be able to give them time to develop.

Honestly.. It's so funny how ppl look at stars and automatically believe they mean anything. You had 5 and highly rated 4 star QBs like Tate Martell, Blake Barnett, Kyle Allen, etc who didn't/ aren't panning out so well, and for whatever reason you have LSU fans already saying TJ Max aren't good bc of ratings. It's funny as hell

Plus you better believe we’ll keep a close eye on that transfer portal. LSU is going to be a big time destination of choice after QBs currently on the bench nationwide see what Burrow was able to do by leaving a place he wasn’t starting at and going to LSU.

Hell even some guys that are starting somewhere could see an opportunity to come in for a year and play after Joe in this offense and compete for a title.

I have no doubt LSU will find a damn good QB for the next few years one way or another. With that being said, I do think Brennan is a solid option for next year. He could be a Jared Goff type to me

And I’m also not saying I don’t like the guys we have committed for 3-4 years down the line. Both have all the tools. Finley is Jarmarcus 2.0. Johnson’s got the tools. Look at how trash King looked in his last game. What kinda numbers they out up in HS isn’t everything

LSU will be fine at QB for years to come with this offense

How are you so sure?

You think he doesn't see this offense humming?

It's time to raise our expectations for recruiting these QBs. Don't concede anyone, certainly not in September.

TJ is a project that won’t be ready to play for at least 3 years. His footwork is really bad but he makes up for it in high school on shear arm talent

Good thing Brennan will have the job locked down for 2 years after Burrow leaves

How long do you think it takes to reach proper footwork? Three years? I’m thinking like three weeks.

Proper footwork is only a piece to the puzzle for TJ or any young QB. He still has to come in and learn the system, speed of the game, and get adjusted to college life.

Who cares? Look at the landscape of college football these days.

We have Burrow this year and 2 years of Brennan. You are almost guranteed looking 3 years out at a minimum. If in 2 or 3 years it becomes clear that Parrish, Finley, or Johnson is the QB of the future, then they will play. If not, we will get a transfer QB to come in. Thats how it works these days for the big time programs.... LSU, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Ohio St all have transfer QBs. If you are a championship contender with weapons at WR and a modern offense to showcase a QBs talent, then you will get the most talented QBs available that were just groomed elsewhere.

Yep. You had people straight up admit in the Haynes King thread that they thought he was elite and better than what we have because of his rating. That supposedly 5 star QB has looked like flaming dogshit this year, and now none of them want him lol.

I understand LSU now has a modern day offense but you are talking about kid that is all Clemson. Have you seen Clemson play? They’re pretty good huh.

LSU has never been hotter on Offense or in the national press and media.

Staying pat with 2 QB that have less than stellar completion rates is crazy.

Both are great kids I am sure, but taking the position of we can't get anyone else is crazy.

Bama is loaded with QBs and they are still after more.

How many tears have we said, oh we will get one next year and it bites us in the arse.

Exactly. And how do we know how good these guys will be in college? No one knows how much development our 2 qb commits will get under Joe Brady, but lets proceed to say that a qb not committed to us is way better

This is me, laughing at you, thinking that HS QB's come into a major Big 5 program ready to play on Day One.
